Or there's one main option who is virtually on strike because his club are dragging their feet. Mendy will be here soon imo. As soon as players start booting off, it's only a matter of time.
Worry is how advanced that move is yet somethings happening caens end that’s making it not look likely. Hopefully he still ends up here
It sounds like he's already agreed to come, just need to find an agreement with Caen. If listening to undr the cosh has taught me anything, it's that players can force through moves whenever they want. From booting balls away in training, to slagging the club off. It's only a matter of time imo.
I have a level of patience... The remaining time on that patience is 24 days. I backed the Joffy loan deal 18 months ago because the club were trying, but failed to get deals over the line. I backed last summer's strikers, believing that the club obviously felt they had some talent there. I was even ok with not bringing anyone in this January window because it didn't seem necessary to overpay when our season was already over. There's always a level of negotiation, waiting on other moves to take place etc. which means that things can run right up to deadline day. But when that window closes we need to have added 2 strikers and at least 1 of them needs to be clearly brought in to be the main man. I'll be fine if one of them is Mendy/Ugbo, I'm not shouting for a £10m proven Championship player, but we do need to choose our man and sign him. It's just not acceptable for the window to close without one.
Are you on that much of a hurry to get paggered every week in the premier league? Let's just enjoy where we are at the minute rather than get picked of every ****ing week!
I really couldn't give a **** if we didn't get back there. All I want now is to go to a match and enjoy watching it. I've had enough of watching us getting our arses kicked every other week. I would love to see us challenging the likes of both Manchester clubs, Arsenal, whoever is in the top 6 and especially those black and white twats but football isn't like that these days. All I want is to go to a gamee and come out feeling that I've enjoyed it
Brighton and Brentford are doing canny jobs of it. I reckon we could too. I really back this model I just think we need to flex a little bit especially upfront
I understand the sentiment of not being a rush to get back to the premier, enjoying the games etc. But, it's a sporting contest at the end of the day. I want to get back there ASAP. I'd take scraping survival in the prem (not the only option, of course) over a season of good football and a failed championship play off attempt every, single, time. I want my lads to see us on MOTD, competing against the best and with 2 games against the mags every season. There is no such thing as being promoted too soon in my opinion.
They've done you a favour. He's crap. Really hoping he'd sign for you and be in your Line up Saturday.
I agree but some people are having hissy fits if we don't get promoted this season. Me - I'm not that bothered as long as we're playing good football
if the Club do not have the ambition to be the best of at least challenging, if the supporters do not have ambition to watch their club compete with the best, then it's time to pack it in. I go to games wanting, expecting my team to compete with the best of be one of the best with hope. Take that away and you have nothing worth fighting for or supporting.
Does that apply to the supporters of all of the hundreds of clubs who'll never ever reach the PL. Hartlepool have a good bunch of supporters who seem to really enjoy their ups and downs.
The challenge is to be the best you can be with the resources you have. Doesn’t mean we need to be competing at top end of PL or in Europe. Just means we do our best in every aspect of the club.
So you're saying I don't have any ambition? The premier league is a closed shop, it has been since it's inception in 1992
