Archer or Conway would be great signings for them

Not a chance he drops to the championship. Not a hope.

With the squad as it stands we could flirt with 6th but probably miss out
IF we bring in a striker we have a shot at the play offs.
IF we keep Clarke and bring in a striker we have a great shot

The already have a decent strikeforce now. Latte Lath is a top player. I fear Boro will be a force next season.

Can i just say they paid 4m for him last summer.
Just goes to show, you need to spend the cash if you want a good striker. Pay peanuts and you get Monkeys. This is what we're competing with and we need to show our intent.

Really looking forward to the season but we all know where we are desperately lacking..still

There is a lot of pressure on the young strikers again, time will tell how they cope.

Cautiously optimistic, but as it stands don’t think we have enough goals to get into the top 6, sort the striker issues and we’re good enough to be in the mix, think we’re in for a much more enjoyable season though, although that’s not saying much!

As I said on another thread I think we are only a couple of pieces away from a good side so if we get them in I’m going playoffs

Feeling positive after what I have seen so far in pre season, Regis seems to have a plan that the players are taking on board, so signs are good. With a striker(s) in place then my confidence will increase.
However, the minimum I want is to be entertained, which is not what happened last season for quite a number of games. I have a good feeling that I will at least get this wish and the league table will take care of itself.

    Looking forward to it.

More the first home game as it’s the only chance I get to see some of my mates.

If we get a striker or two in this week then I’ll be even happier.

Looking forward to it. Somewhat less than previous years but only because my solo singing show has taken off so well I haven’t renewed my season card as I can’t make anywhere near half of the games

Still early days. However, I find this the most difficult season in years to have a solid opinion on how we will do. A lot of unknowns for me, I have to say.

If I compare our squad to others in the league I would say we are somehwere around 10th to 12th as it stands. We have some of the best players but still are unbalanced for me. A striker who fits the system will change some of that. I still dont like our depth, particularly at the back. I would be really prioritising a CB because of Dan or Luke are out we will struggle.

Then I honestly dont know what Regis will bring. A top coach will transform a squad from 10th to 6th for example. They will make them better than the sum of their individual parts. When we finished 6th we were that. What I have seen so far has been encouraging, although I do worry about how we might get broken on. I would love to see a really quick centre back to cover.

I think we will be involved in some good games and I see Sky loving us.

I think after the unexpected playoff position two years ago, there was increased pressure on us last season and the young lads will have learnt a lot.

Think we are dark horses to do really well this season. Yes we need a striker (or two) but expect that to happen eventually. Hopefully we get off to a good start and see where we end up.

As we stand I feel really optimistic this season. Gut feeling about RLB and the players we have improving.

I can't help feeling we will get promoted this time.
Keep Clarke and sign a decent striker and like you say, I think we should at least make the playoffs.

Agree with this. Current striker situation means we won’t finish high, a couple of goal scorers and Cirkin Poveda and Brown hit form and we’re upper mid table. Get some extra goals in at the top end we might compete top 5.

What a load of bollocks you are all talking . . . . I'm confident that we'll finish either as champions or second, so there :emoticon-0105-wink:
