I genuinely don't get why you rip it all up then and start again if you want out. Why invest £1.5m into the pitch?
Because he won't have been thinking about selling back then. But the reaction to the LR sacking and the bizarre fans forum, plus his involvement with the Turkish club means he is now
Your guess is as good as mine. I was asking my mate the same questions on WhatsApp when he messaged me. ‘Why sack Rosenior and hire Walter who is highly-regarded for his exiting tactics?’ ‘Why sign a new sponsorship with a Turkish company?’ ‘Why fork out for a new pitch?’ It makes as much sense to you as it does to me. All my mate said was that Acun made informal approaches to local business owners about potentially buying the club from him. He didn’t say which business owners or if any of them were interested but just that he wants out and to focus on Fenerbahçe.
Probably the Healys, richest people in our area by a mile. They have absolutely no interest at all. The owners will have to come from foreign lands.
Even assuming it's true that Acun is looking for a way out, would that really explain the transfer strategy? Why would he want to let the team become so weak whilst he's trying to sell it? Not sure there's a link that makes sense there. Seems to me that we're failing to do deals and missing out on players, rather than not wanting to do them.
At the end of the day none of it makes sense. You'd think we'd at least have got some cheap signings in to fill out the squad, Melhelm didn't cost much so no idea why he couldn't have been done earlier for instance.
Now that HT and Kalman have spilled the beans, i may as well pass on this insight. A mate heard a rumour that McVities ended their sponsorship deal with us because Acun preferred to dunk kit kats into his tea rather than hob nobs. The same mate also told me Allsop would be leaving at least a week before it was announced so hes a pretty reliable resource.
What did I say that was wrong? What a strange thing to say when I spent the last season being incredibly positive and optimistic about the side in the face of people constantly criticising and complaining about players and the manager.
