We have again been linked with Scott Brown from Celtic. As a proud Scotsman,Broonie always does a good job for Scotland. Technically he ain't as good as what we have but his work rate is second to none.

My question is, In a straight swap with Forster would you like to see Broonie at the toon??

Not sure how i feel about this, dont know too much about him tbh.

The thing that scares me is that a good offer comes in for Tiote, we'll take it and get Brown as a replacement *shudders*

I think he is a very good player. Problem is he is very aggressive and I think he would have a problem with card happy refs south of the border. Not sure how he'd fit in either in terms of where we could use him. He can play centre and right but I couldn't see him dislodging any of the occupants of those positions. I don't think he'd come down to Newcastle to play 2nd fiddle.

Would much rather have that Ki from Celtic who I think would suit our style of play.

A guy who can't even get a start in his natural position when fit and we're supposedly after him. Celtic are my second team and my da and his pals are all Celtic and none of them want him to get a new contract. He is a headless chicken with no first touch and an absolute whopper on the pitch to boot. No thanks!

That was really my point of the article. I would rather we let Forster go from our squad and bring in Brown to enhance the sqaud, not the first team as such. Also Ki from Celtic is a classy player that we could get on the cheap!!

This. Apparently he's also started playing out wide(RW) for Celtic and he's been quite good. But yeah if were gonna buy someone off Celtic it has to be someone who will make a impact.. like Ki/Forrest/Hooper or even Izaguire(LB).

I doubt he'd move to be backup. He'd get nowhere near our first XI.

Hooper would be a good striking option, and Izaguire looked class before his injury.

Happy St. Andrews Day by the way!

Jamie Forrest is the player I'd most like us to sign from Celtic but I think he'd be damn expensive and would probably have the big clubs circling. Very very talented boy. Him and Jordan Rhodes were awesome against a strong dutch U21 side. They couldn't handle Forrest.

Also having watched Celtic most of their games for the past 10 years or so i can tell you brown isn't a good winger. If we were going for a winger off them then james Forrest would be great. He looks like he'll be a quality player
