To be fair, we look a very very capable team.

Valencia are decent. We've completely dominated. We look big, strong, quick, fluid and well coached.

Good performance so far. Still not convinced about Rodon’s distribution, but pretty much everyone’s shown that we are likely to be one of the front runners again.

I wouldn’t give Georgie a full run out. Maybe 15 minutes and then hold him back for the first game, he’s so important i would worry if he picked up a knock.

Rutter is too good for this league. They can't handle him

    Fabrizio Romano
    @FabrizioRomano

Crysencio Summerville will move to @westham on a free transfer, and #LUFC have agreed to pay his wages for the next 5 years.

Couldn’t watch as at the beach all day. Seen the goals on Twitter, cracking finishes, any update on the Bogle injury (post match interview)?

Maybe but don’t forget Farke froze Gnonto out last year until he was properly focused. Possibly doing the same to Wober and showing him who’s the boss, if so, I don’t mind that.

Hope Bogle is ok, that’s a bit of a concern

Playing this well with some strong players on the bench and no Summerville

Enjoyed the game today, but please, everyone, don't get carried away. The majority of teams we will play this season will park the bus, which as we all know, we struggle with. A lot. Today, there was no parking the bus. We played a pub team, despite their reputation, & all they were good at was kicking us. Which the referee was allowing to happen freely, often with no stoppage - unless of course, it was a Leeds player legally tackling. As much space as we wanted, particularly in the first half. But what did we do with all this space in the second half? Next to nothing imho. I'm hoping it was the sub overload that disrupted proceedings, & would love to have known if the starters could keep it up in the second half. Happy with the win, but not getting carried away like some.

Another think, I thought the fans were despicable when both Wober & Aaronson came on to loud jeers. We don't need that. It achieved nothing positive, probably the opposite. So why do it? I was waiting for burning red bulls being flung on the park next. Absolutely juvenile.

Ok, bit crochety tonight. Reason? The Old Peacock stopped their annual seasons for parking, so for the first time in 15 years or so, I had to find somewhere else to park. And got myself a £70 parking ticket. :steam:  <wah> :emoticon-0121-angry <doh>

What is the chance of you giving Firpo a break?I

Since the end of last season the kid has been standout. His interplay around the box is superb and he has that composure we have been missing.
He's got to be one of the first names on the team sheet.

from what I have seen that forward line will terrorise Championship defences.
With a lively finisher up front being supplied by Rutter, Gnonto, James, Firpo, Ampadu, Gruev et al, they will need more than just a low block. We've got the movement and the creativity we lacked last year. I'm very positive.
Just checking there is enough room behind the sofa though, just in case :)

Ya grumpy auld bolli*. Seriously though good to hear an honest assessment of today. You’re right of course on the park the bus thing. That’s where we failed miserably last season and a lot of the games will be like that again

Firpo is, and always has been, decent going forward.

He is still ****e at defending even at this level. It was embarrassing in the Premier League.

We will dominate most games in this league and that does suit Firpo. He will do fine at this level in a team that dominates possession. Stick him in the Huddersfield side where there is some defending to be done and he'd look ****e again.
