Happy with that First 45. Few lapses in concentration but its still pre season. Looks like we actually have a purposeful shape and style. If we can start bringing in one of two players who fit into the shape and increase the quality I think things are looking promising. Someone like Mendy would be a great fit

Even CDM in the league gets caught in possession occasionally, its the hardest position to play but i trust Neil to play it as hes got better n better playing there The only CDM that makes it look easy is Rodri
Rodri still loses the ball 0.98 times per90. Neil is at 1.22per 90. Ben Sheaf, probably the best holding midfielder in the division, is at 1.18 and he's in a side that has less possession.
Neil hasn’t been playing as the 6 generally though, imagine that’ll probably creep up this season. Sheaf is very underrated imo good player. Neil defo has the ability to be a decent 6 though a full season there will do him the world of good.
Good stats mate CDMs will always lose the ball in possession focused team - the best ones keep looking for the ball and dont go hiding, Neil always wants on the ball

I’m not watching but I’d genuinely rather we were losing 1-0 and playing how you guys are reporting, versus winning 1-0 with no sign of any plan or shape.
