It never ceases to amaze me how many morons exist on this planet. This was never a protest. It was always a pathetic excuse to riot. There was never ever any intention to protest. It was as usual predominately populated by cowards attacking in mobs innocent people whilst hiding behind masks. I genuinely wish the media would use words such as ‘cowards’ or ‘morons’ or similar to describe those involved instead of giving them some degree of credibility by calling them ‘protesters’ etc. There are divides in society and they won’t be easy to fix but the fact the likes of Farage can get voted in as an MP says how bad it has got.

This won't be a popular opinion, but it is the divisive, adversarial politics of our time that has created the climate for this to occur. Its been exacerbated by the fact that, as a society, we have been teaching people to lack respect for the duly constituted authorities. Anti-social behaviour is not punished strongly enough. People behaving badly know they can get away with it and that gives them the confidence to behave like this. The reactions to this will only deepen the divisions in society.
What a sorry state our society is in and it's getting worse. I really fear for the future of our grandchildren on many fronts, we're allowing lawless low life's to roam our streets and if there are other venues coming up then the Home Secretary needs to implement a banning order and fill our already overflowing prisons with this scum and get them off the streets.

Agree with most of that except to say that some of the duly constituted authorities have lost respect as a result of their behaviour,very often not fitting the standards and responsibility afforded to them. Not at all saying that's any excuse for the thuggery we're currently witnessing mind.

To some extent I agree. The behaviour and competency of politicians, for example, has been in the gutter for too long now. But society breaks down if there's no respect for the rule of law. If people don't respect the Police, how can we expect them to respect people such as teachers, or even anyone that's placed in a position of authority. You need those degrees of respect to function as a society. The occasional bad apple can't be used as an excuse to dismiss whole entities as unfit.
Well, I didn’t expect to wake up to this this morning. This is going to happen more and more if there’s not more done to prevent misinformation and just hate lies being allowed to be so rampantly spread. Those are not the kind of people who ‘lost jobs to immigrants’. It is painful to see it in my home city. I take comfort in the fact my family live away from the city centre. There’s more of ‘us’ than there is of ‘them’ so there has to be a way to stop this. We know they are everywhere, we can take some solace from knowing these people are not representative of our city, but there’s a good number, election voting has show this. Hell of a challenge to stop this becoming a national catastrophe.
