What I’ve seen tonight is nothing short of disgusting. I drive through the city centre forgetting what was happening and bar delays got through fine. Only for the taxi 3/4 cars behind me to get smashed to pieces because the driver was of a darker ethnicity. The scenes tonight were not to protect our children, or save the country: they were racist thugs, getting their kick out of being violent and causing trouble, all by covering their face and getting away with it. I am appalled and horrified to be around such behaviour.
BREAKING NEWS Northumbria Police have said in a statement that 3 Police officers have been injured in tonight’s disorder in Sunderland. All three requiring hospital treatment, one has since been discharged. The other two remain in hospital.

Can we all agree notto use the word protest to describe what these people are doing. There is no protest in this, it's a riot plain and simple. Public Order act defines riot as: Riot. (1)Where 12 or more persons who are present together use or threaten unlawful violence for a common purpose and the conduct of them (taken together) is such as would cause a person of reasonable firmness present at the scene to fear for his personal safety, each of the persons using unlawful violence for the common purpose is guilty of riot. (2)It is immaterial whether or not the 12 or more use or threaten unlawful violence simultaneously. (3)The common purpose may be inferred from conduct. (4)No person of reasonable firmness need actually be, or be likely to be, present at the scene. (5)Riot may be committed in private as well as in public places. (6)A person guilty of riot is liable on conviction on indictment to imprisonment for a term not exceeding ten years or a fine or both. I think we can all agree that is what is happening not a protest!
Look at protesters through history, those that really achieved change. They didn't cover their faces they were proud to stand up for what they believed in. These ****ers are just out to smash **** up, also think it sums it up that everytime they loot a shop!

Anyone there tonight causing bother wants to be ashamed of themselves. The issue is that a lot of them are low life scum that have no pride in themselves or where they live. Sunderland is an easy target to start things off because of the 1st declaration of brexit. I saw a video late on shot from where the Point is and a lad in a yellow hoodie just being a total prick. I would have loved to have been there just to knock him out.
