He's good at that. Not answering a straightforward question and simply repeating the mantra. I get it all the time.

Similar vein of reporting on BBC News website about the far-right and how they mobilised their followers to rise up across the country using social media...

Violent Southport protests reveal organising tactics of the far-right

Two nights of violent protest in English towns this week, following the knife attack in Southport, reveal how today’s far-right is organising in the UK.

A BBC analysis of activity on mainstream social media and in smaller public groups shows a clear pattern of influencers driving a message for people to gather for protests, but there is no single organising force at work.

Not everyone attending these protests or posting about the Southport attacks holds fringe views, supports rioting or has links to far-right groups. The protests also appeared to draw in people concerned about violent crime or misled by the misinformation that the attack was linked to illegal immigration.

So how did the protests - starting in Southport and spreading to London, Hartlepool, Manchester and Aldershot - begin?

Merseyside Police have publicly identified the English Defence League (EDL) as a key factor.

While there are people who describe themselves as EDL supporters, the organisation ceased to exist in any formal sense after its founder, Stephen Yaxley-Lennon - who uses the alias Tommy Robinson - focused on spreading his message on social media platforms, where he has a sizeable following.

But its core ideas - in particular an opposition to illegal immigration, mixed with indiscriminate and racist claims about Muslims - are very much alive, and loudly and widely spread among sympathisers online.

Thrown into this mix are tropes from conspiracy theories that “elites” are somehow covering up the truth - including the abuse of British children.

An influencer on X associated with Yaxley-Lennon, who posts under the name of “Lord Simon”, was among the first to publicly call for nationwide protests. His account promoted false claims that the alleged Southport attacker had been an asylum seeker, recently arrived in the UK by boat. His video has been viewed over a million times.

“We have to hit the streets. We have to make a huge impact all around the country. Every city needs to go up everywhere,” he said

Similar? Where's the reference to Reform being the political wing of the EDL then? Yaxley-Lennon is a violent thug, and I thought the EDL had been banned years ago. These are far right organisations with no pretentions to power.

Reform is right of centre. In fact, it's the only party right of centre. The Tories were liberal, left of centre, big state, massive payouts, high tax, massive immigration figures, neglecting crime and prisons, shovelling money into the NHS with no plan etc. Reform don't need to have anything to do with the far right. The far right are Labour's problem, the ugly face of what is generally a growing sense of dissatisfaction in this country.

Of course it's similar, or did you not read the article....Stan clearly made reference to the protests being organised by the far-right, which is corroborated by the post I put up...

The BBC has identified at least 30 additional demonstrations being planned by far-right activists around the UK, including a new protest in Southport - but it is unclear how much traction any will have.

I never made any mention of Nigel, otherwise known as the new messiah in your little bubble, you just took it upon yourself to defend him like a good little boy.

I'm reading Stan's post which you said was of a similar vein. He said Reform is the political wing of the far right which has its paramilitary with EDL and Patriotic Alternative. But your post doesn't mention Reform, so I'm hard pressed to see it's similar

Doesn’t matter. I’ve seen it very persistently (if not very persuasively) argued on here that the government and police hide things about criminals from the public and this means the public, or at least people who are predisposed to think a certain way about people who don’t look or sound like them, can make assumptions about criminals and ‘lies’ that the government and police put out, and that these assumptions are correct, and certainly not conspiracy theories churned out to create race hate and rioting.

Using the same logic someone as clever as Nigel Farage can assumed to be in cahoots with these para military thugs simply because he denies that he is. They certainly love him, bet he loves them back. Anyway, that’s the assumption that I’m going to make, and as we all know assumptions not based on known facts are true by definition in this post truth society. Especially in this case.

Both posts mention far-right mobilising their followers for protests across the country....is it that difficult for you see similarities? Maybe you should get yourself to Specsavers? Now show me where I mentioned reform....
