I've always advocated free debate on here, the recent election thread was interesting and didn't decend into abuse or intransigence, it was actually overwhelmingly respectful. I do note the mods do give a little leeway when there has been a horrific crime or atrocity everyone is talking about.
Supposing for instance a group of pensioners decided to hold a street meeting to complain that Asylum seekers get accommodation, food, medical, dentistry and pocket money, all free, on the basis that pensioners are going to lose their fuel allowance and it’s not fair having paid into the system to 50 years and get a pittance of a pension. Would the cops label this as a hate meeting and far right, rather than concerned old folk? The answer would be cops battering and arresting as many as they could because it make them look hard. Cos they ****ing run from everyone else.
I go away for 2 weeks and looks what happens, the country is on the brink. These protests will attract all manner of half wits, that’s a stone cold fact. Hatred and anger is not the answer. FACT.
I agree. The vast majority appear to agree. So what is the answer .... especially when 'concerned citizens' (of all backgrounds, races, colours, political persuasions, etc) appear to be being ignored, even silenced?
Legalise drugs, only imprison for sexual and violent crimes, have other convicted criminals do community/social work 9-5pm - serves no purpose locking women up for not paying their TV license, stopping traffic to protest or someone doing 3-6 months inside for burglary... Zero punishment in it any more, just watch TV and suffer boredom for a few months.
And again we see why we have the rules we do, another load of posts deleted, please try and follow the rules and lets try and avoid getting nasty, thanks.
