Yeah, I know. Always finished the sentence with.... Eh? He should deffo have signed Julio Geordio. Would have got the England job if it wasn't for that backstabbing **** Mike Bassett.
Man City have been fined £2.09m for being late back to the pitch at half time on 22 occasions. Their 115 FFP case will be heard in November and is expected to take six weeks, with the outcome to be announced in the second half of the season.
Unless he was pushing for a move, given the wholesale changes we are going through it wouldn't have been the daftest thing to do to keep him another 12 months. Not a game changer, but otherwise dependable
Don't disagree, however as I said, if he wasn't pushing for out, and we had a 12 month option, personally I wouldn't have got shut in double quick time.
Just watching a Swiss Super League game between Young Boys and FC Zürich and the camera panned to a guy in the crowd casually smoking a cig.

Apparently, in Italy some of players smoke in the dressing room even now. Different football cultures and mentalities. Serie A is regarded as being a very technical league but lacking the physicality and athleticism of English football. In this country, we seem to value players who may be lacking in the technical side of the game but run around a lot.
Was it Wenger who pioneered a lot of the standards for peak physical fitness in English football? I’m sure I read about how he introduced loads of rules at Arsenal that banned smoking, excessive drinking, certain foods and drinks etc. and it set a trend that lots of other managers followed.
