Good Morning All -------------------- -------------------- 21 McCarthy 02 Connolly 03 Kisnorbo 22 Lees 28 White 08 Brown 14 Howson 15 Clayton (Keogh 75) 16 Pugh 10 Becchio (McCormack 75) 23 Snodgrass (Nunez 80) 24 Taylor, 26 Bromby, 20 Nunez, 38 Keogh, 44 McCormack -------------------- -------------------- A fitting 5 star performance dedicated in memory to one of our own. I just worked out (our) Gary was with us for 12 years from the time he joined as a school boy to 1996 when he joined Everton. Seemed that the formation suited us away from home, not sure how happy McCormack would have been, though it was nice to see both Howson (who, in a more familiar role for time, put in a captains innings) and Becchio get back on the scoresheet. Who was at the match, were there any Forest fans there, we didn't hear any on the radio? Song of the day anyone?
Morning Elland. Only thing missing from last night was McC. also scoring. That said, SG has a thing about partnerships. McC & Keogh seem to have gone off the boil a bit. Becchio & Howson clearly hit the ground running last night. Leave aside the emotion of the occasion, it sounded as though we were at last creating enough chances to have won by a cricket score. It was also interesting to hear comments about Brown & the fact that he managed to quietly break up what few attacks Forest actually mustered. Could 451 with Brown & Clayton anchoring the midfield finally be the missing link? On to Saturday. Clearly a lot of emotion to come. Hopefully 'Wall fans will be respectful of the occasion (I gather Forest fans joined in with the 11 minutes of GS singing last night, which was nice of them). But it will be a much harder game. They always are against the 'Wall. Thoughts from last night & thoughts ahead of Saturday?
Agreed Boggers. American Exports: Findley, Forest fall hard to Leeds Striker off at half of 4-0 loss as Reds slip to 20th in Championship hilarious, will the yanks ever get to grips with soccer ???
I hope ER will be a sell out come Saturday! I have my ticket! be great to hook up for a early beer to toast Gary!
G'day Elland, Boggers A good win on an emotional day. I listened to the commentary, the Leeds fans were amazing, a great effort. (and I could see the others sneaking out from here) An intersesting month coming up, with some winnable games. Hopefully marching up the table by New Year. Anyone got a link to the goals? Would be much appreciated. Onward to Saturday, look out walnuts. MOT
18, for those of us whose computers won't let them see anything other than narrative, what dod you suggest as Song of the Day? One Gary Speed per chance???
Yes, the full 11-minute version. Hope it's as good as that for the Millwall game on Saturday; certainly deserves it.
