I guessed something was up. Sorry to hear that fella and I hope that if things are resolvable, then it happens soon. Look after yourself
Thanks guys, but it's more time consuming than a real problem - I'm finding it taking up a lot of my normal "leisure" pleasure. I'd better make it clear that it's nothing health related either so you're not getting rid of me off here yet.
Decent highlights. A definite change in style. Forward looking, quicker passing. Keen to get a shot away. https://www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk/video/player/0_gfwmrdqq
Team for Brizzle. Cardiff City: Ethan Horvath; Perry Ng, Calum Chambers, Dimitrios Goutas, Callum O'Dowda; Manolis Siopis, Joe Ralls (capt); Ollie Tanner, Aaron Ramsey, Chris Willock; Yakou Meite.
Just realised that the gas will be at CCS on 13th. I assume it'll be a very different side we put out. Playing the gas at the Memorial Ground today, somewhere I played about 30 years ago. I was chasing a different shaped ball though. Half time. I wonder if Erol will make a raft of changes or keep the side together. Interesting that Chambers and Goutas started at the back. Which of those 2 and McGuinness misses out in the league?
No Collins or Davies but I’ve read nothing about their fitness. No McGuinness. Maybe as Buluts looking for another central defender he may be on the way out? No Robinson but he did play 90 minutes v Reading. No Rhinomota but no surprise as surely he’s off - preferably he’ll be sold.
Looking at the timing of the changes, more what you'd expect from a league game. https://www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk/news/match-report-bristol-rovers-0-2-cardiff-city
Davies is bad news and feel sorry for him. Looked like a hammy. Thought Collins might be out a while with O'Dowda getting 84mins at left back. Not good for Etete, but the way things are shaping up, not sure he'd have seen much game time. Hopefully McGuiness won't be out long. Not a good start for the season.
Having watched all the game today some observations. Our attempt to play the ball from the back when in our own box was behond abysmal. If we play like that v Sunderland we lose. We played some decent stuff at times. The gulf between L1 and the Championship is clearly big. Siopis , Ralls and Ramsey were different class to their middle and dominated. Tanner was lively and a threat and Willock had some good moments though I'm sure isn't fully fit yet. Impressed with all the young players who had time to make an impact. Ashford , Conte need roles from the bench. Colwill really good when he came on and has to start. Miete was Miete. With Isaac out Robinson has to stay fit or we've got a real issue and we probably should use the loan market for a striker fully fit who can go straight in if needed. Kanga looks miles away from fitness. We've a tough start to the season. Bookies have only Oxford and Plymouth below us in the table so we are 3rd favs for the drop. I think we need a left back and striker in quickly so we don't have a really bad start.
