Might be in a very small minority here but I would be letting him go if he wants to. I wouldnt be rolling out any red carpets. I think the lad is a very good technician but his decision making in possession isnt up to standard for me. He makes as many bad ones as good ones and for an attacking player looking to create that isnt good enough. I think he tries to force things too much and doesnt see the big picture. Not sure he would have many suitors tbh, so maybe he stays and proves me wrong. Lets see.

Don't think we should be even considering letting Aouchiche leave unless it's a crazy offer. His data is mental, in the 90+ percentile in a whole range of important areas. Not a starter, Jobe and Browne are superior players, but as a bench option and someone who can start at times he is absolutely of the required quality. Yeah he rushes things at times and makes some bad decisions but he gets himself in the position to be able to make them decisions and that is half the battle. Plus when he does calm down and make correct decisions, it often works out well.

I think he can be a very good player for us.

In my opinion he either tries to hard to impress, because of limited opportunities ...

... or players don't think as quickly.

    Mundle did last night.

It’s a fair opinion mate. Personally I’d be disappointed if we let him go, think he has bags of potential and will come good this season if given the opportunity.

The way he was thrown under the bus after Ipswich won’t have helped his confidence at all and he’s still a young lad. With RLB’s history of improving young players, he could be a real exciting one for us.

I watched him last night and he didn't raise a sweat. He thinks he has so much ability that he should be first choice. He doesn't realise effort is required. If he's touting for a move he needs shifting asap. Mundle was the complete opposite last. Full of effort and desire. Both performances will have been noted by Reggie.

A motivated and confident Aouchiche is absolutely worth keeping.

An unmotivated and “lost” Aouchiche is absolutely worth cashing in on.

You not see the pass he made for the goal then?

Yes he does put the effort in, constantly leading the attackers in recoveries in the opposition third, interceptions and other defensive stats when he does actually play.

His effort is more than fine.

Not sure we've seen enough to make a judgement. He, like a few of the recent recruits clearly has ability but hasn't shown it consistently (not entirely his fault).
I wouldn't be rushing to sell him unless he wants to leave (which appears to be the club's current philosophy)

What I would say is that I don't know if Aouchiche and RLB have a good relationship. Pretty sure they fell out at Lorient and he was dropped.

If he does go he'd need replaced with someone of equal quality.

Quite a few on here and social seem to think we have! I’ve seen some flashes of utter brilliance. I’ve seen enough to think I’d like to See more of him before writing him off as some have!

Pierre Ekwah: The Camerounese nugget interests Leicester City

Jul 31st, 2024 by Isidore Akouete Add a comment

Leicester City could strengthen its midfield ranks this summer with Sunderland starlet Pierre Ekwah.

After 18 months of good billing with Sunderland, Pierre Ekwah has no shortage of courtiers, like the coach of Cameroun, Marc Brys who wants to attract him into the den of the Indomitable Lions. The player is also in the sights of Leicester City.

Steeve Cooper's team desperately needs reinforcements throughout the field, especially in the midfield. The Foxes, promoted to the Premier League, thus set their sights on the French nugget of Camerounese origin Pierre Ekwah.

According to our Africafoot colleagues, an offer is underway to convince Sunderland to let his player go. With the season he has just ended, it is obvious that Sunderland is asking for enough money to let him go. This would allow the Black Cats to quickly monetise their investment after the midfielder joined their rank from West Ham in January 2023.

Franco-Cameroun will be 23 years old next January and would be an interesting signature for Leicester, who would see a player in rapid development join the club.

Passed by FC Nantes, Pierre Ekwah joined West Ham in the summer of 2021. His good performance with young people will make the Hammers pay 1.4 million euros to sign it. After 2 and a half years and 39 games played in the suburbs of London, he left them in the winter of 2023 to join Sunderland. Very quickly, following his transfer, he will show up with the Black Cats with whom he is linked until 2027.

I think he's got bags of technical ability but needs more game time to understand the English game and what's required to contribute on a regular basis.

Be disappointed to lose AA. Disagree completely about the effort view. Thought last night he outworked both Rigg and particularly Embo. He’s a good option for us this season IMO. Also I would really guard against any midfield sales this summer apart from the obvious. We need to have an eye on next summer when we’ll potentially come under real pressure on Neil, Jobe and Rigg.

Aouchiche been trying too hard to impress due to lack of opportunities for me, he's got talent and some fight so I want to see more of him.

I wouldn't be surprised if he wanted away though, he's a confident lad who backs himself and will be wanting to play. Whether Reggie does that or not who knows but personally I'd keep him and give him a fair go.
