On Sky now that El Ghazi's contract is formally terminated with Mainz.... step closer maybe?? Have to agree with Remote's post above too - I was thinking much the same - Rambo to feed the wide men/forwards from deeper. We can then have Colwill or Turnbull as a '10' and pace all around them with a new '9' as our even more advanced focal point.... or potentially the wingback formation with the wider players given license to roam / cut inside when we have possession as the fullbacks overlap etc... On the whole, so far, surely we have to be feeling semi-optimistic about how the squad is taking shape??
New signing holding the shirt. Snatched from under the nose of a rival. Any insight on this one Brizzle. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ce93eq7vxr9o
El Ghazi has issued a statement. A bit of cutting and pasting by WoL, but the first quotes I've read from him. Given his integrity over his statement, he may appeal to Tan. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport...ws/anwar-el-ghazi-releases-statement-29650547
That presupposes Ramsey is fit enough - he’s been looking ok in pre season like last season but it wasn’t long until he was injured. Fingers crossed he’ll be relatively injury free this coming season.
Well, I'm not one to claim credit where none is due but you know, just wandering around Bristol in Bluebirds apparel may have been enough to swing it, especially as the lad only lives a short hop away from the Pick and Shovel (the Premier drinking establishment in the South Glos area if not the entire west country)... I did see the article earlier funnily enough and thought what an odd one for the BBC to highlight - unless I'm missing something (is his age a bit of a first or something??)
I saw that he wasn't that far from from you. Thought you'd been doing a bit of scouting. As you say, odd the beeb have picked up on it but WoL hadsn't. Nor has it been mentioned by the club.
It made the local news broadcast on the BBC too - cue some angry locals (yokels?) grumbling about losing young talent
El-Ghazi signs a 1 year deal. I doubt we'll see him play in anger for a month while he gets fit, but, fingers crossed, it'll be worth the wait. https://www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk/news/anwar-el-ghazi-joins-bluebirds A balanced first interview as well. https://www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk/video/player/0_ljhe9al8
Getting a bit more height in the front line now. Both Kanga and El Ghazi are 6'2". El Ghazi looks quite sleight, but Kanga looks quite a lump.
Great character to have at the club as well. He was quality and could be far too good for this league.
I'm wondering about Fulham too...... They seem to be chasing a lot of new players, which could make a certain Harry Wilson available again
