I thought Hughes was a right footed left sided cb ?

 

I imagine he just plays there because he’s good rather than choosing to play on the left

 

Hopefully better than our last signing from Forest.

 

Well isn't that why we're keen to get him, ideal replacement for Greaves on the left side of the 2 ?

 

He’s a Greaves level player doesn’t need to necessarily be left sided. Jones has always been suspect to me.

I think McLoughlin is average but Jones has been much worse in pre season

 

Forgive me here, but just cos Jones isn't performing as you'd like doesn't mean Hughes will be brought in to replace him, primarily he's being brought in to replace Greaves on the left sided cb role, we're he's been playing !

 

If we let mcloughlin leave we need another two centre backs so it’s not out the question

 

Macca is pretty decent he’s just always put the fear of McShane into me. He had that long spell in Rosey’s first season where he was absolutely solid and dependable then barely got a chance last year, so let’s see how he does. I think he’s probably good enough.

 

If we got McKenna and Hughes added to the squad, that is a perfect combination of 4 CBs for the season ahead

 

It's starting to come together, we are being linked with some interesting players, gonna be an exciting 10 days

I appreciate its the nature of the market but would have loved to have had them in sooner, and give then time to understand Walterball, prior to the season kicking off

 

Who wouldn't, but I bet theirs not a team in Europe that has a settled squad
