Sevilla were dogshit last season - finished 14th, 8 points clear of relegation zone. Let's not pretend he's being linked with Spain's elite here. They're midtable clubs apart from Girona but they won't repeat their 3rd place - they're getting picked apart. I'm not saying we're favourites to sign him - it's a massive longshot but let's not overestimate the other clubs.

Do you think we will finish 8 points above the relegation zone?

If you're basing this on vinicious Jr only, it's really unfair. I'm a mallorca season ticket holder, have been for over ten years ( my blood runs ref and white stripes, don't worry ). I go to at least 2 away games a season. Spanish fans piss all over English fans for being respectful. EVERY time I've gone away the locals have been genuinely nice, interested and impressed that we've travelled. My son's first game ( he was 6 or 7 )was Bolton away. We parked up and I asked a guy who was with a couple of young kids which way the stadium is. " fook off you southern **** " was his reply .

So weird. I went to see a Spanish game with my son. Stopped a guy with two kids.

His reply was: “¡Váyanse a la mierda, bastardos sureños!”

I assume he was being polite.

Are you a person of colour though? It's hard to gauge the extent of racism when you're a white man among other white men (and women).

Not trying to be a dick by the way.

Have you ever experienced anything like monkey chanting at Mallorca?

The thing with Viniciuos is he's a horrible, nasty ****. Think Mark Dennis, think Jamie Dickhead from Leicester. But with ten times more talent. He's always diving or kicking players when the ref isn't looking. In your team, you'd love him, he's a match winner, but every other fan of every other team hates him. The couple of times I've seen him everyone chants " loco loco " , nutter or nut job in English. I know this as a fact for the games I've been. The media ( Madrid led ) say they're saying mono, which is monkey.
I'm not dating there's no racism at football here, but it's not rife.

That's fair enough but it's not just Vinicius. Black England players were racially abused multiple times while playing in Spain. It's probably better than what is was but the abuse Vinicius has had to suffer is sickening.

I understand what you're saying. I honestly haven't. I have at the Dell.
I'm not black or mixed, at all. But I've always been an anti fascists. And had a little fight at the Spanish cup final, with German mallorcan fans seik hailing ( long story ). I'm not saying it doesn't exist, but the chants are loco.

But that 14th finish is an awful season for them, whereas it would be a fantastic over achievement for us. They are a bigger club in pretty much every way and won the Europa league the season before last.

If it us and Sevilla in for him then he will be going to Spain without a doubt. But I doubt we are actually interested anyway so probably moot.

This assumes Haaland will be there forever. Eventually he will want a new challenge I assume. Or his agent will.

Spain don't have a great record when it comes to racism, they really don't (remember the "Hamilton Family" at the Spanish Grand Prix, for starters).

Would think if Shea is going on loan we need cover for Downes.

Thought Charles had looked pretty good in pre season so far, but to get O’Riley in and for Charles to get some really good experience could be a win win.

Whilst swap deals are very rare, they are more common when one is a loan player.

I think Celtic would be a great move for Charles to gain experience. They will have a lot of the ball and with Rodgers he will play similar football to what Martin wants.
