Exactly, but then I wouldn't have been able to crack my pun. Lovely place BTW. Been there a couple of times.
One of the most encouraginv things was not only did he complete 90 but he was at his best in the last 20 minutes
It’s a good turnout for pre-season, friendly games are mostly ****e with no atmosphere. I know plenty of people who go away most games who didn’t bother today, still recovering from Spain last week
Good to hear Browne is already settling in and making his mark. Huge missing piece of the jigsaw found in him. When you lack leadership and/or experience in CM it's very difficult to make it work. I like Neil playing deep, it suits his game.
That's one way of looking at it. And I share that view apart from the first bit to an extent. If he is staying, it's encouraging knowing one of our sought after top players is happy to be here and the club aren't just cashing in.
My lad went, fooker only told me the night before He said "wasn't the best atmosphere and the game was a bit boring" FFS I said "it's a pre season friendly FFS ". Fecking youth They can be a bit crack, catch up, watch the new players etc. I'm saying all this as I never went. If I did I'd probably be moaning about the drive back etc
Dear me, how many times were the club accused of being a 'selling club', the SOL would be left to crumble and KLD was sponging off the club. It was all absolute nonsense. This criticism, based on nothing more than what people are predicting will happen, is poor crack imo. It's like the angry accusations of 'Mark my words, Dodds will be announced and they'll say he's the right man for the job'.
It wasn't the best performance but there were really encouraging signs. Le Bris is changing the way we play with an energetic high press and that's how our chances and goal came about. They seem fit as they need to get for this system. So, it's a sign that the players are listening and understand the system. I feel we need more focus on set pieces though, both attacking and defending.
Aye, should have done better. Bringing someone like Hardie or Mendy in would be great for him to learn from - as well as obviously contributing themselves.
I agree, set pieces should be priority on the training pitch, however Ithink a lot of our set pieces both attack and defence will involve Ballard, so maybe yesterday wasn't the ideal game to judge us in. we've also been utter **** with corner kicks in recent seasons, lets hope Reggie boy gets that sorted.
