I see West Ham have adopted a policy of the Allams, everyone should pay the same. Sad thing is enough people will pay this on top of season pass holders to fill the stadium. Not proper West Ham fans but tourists. Football goes down the pan more and more. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...ham-fans-man-city-ticket-price-complaint.html
Malcolm J Clarke has retired after 22 years as chairman of the FSA. All City fans owe him a debt of gratitude.
Some of our noted supporters were actors Tom Courtenay, John Alderton and Omar Sharif. Like Courtenay, we (meaning me) named our dog Waggy. The missus asked where did I dig up that odd name. I told her about Ken Wagstaff. Her response was "I thought that he was a character from a few of Shakespeare's plays. Daft amateur thespian she was (aka drama queen). https://x.com/Theleaguemag/status/979637335590621184

I remember that, it was Emre's 4th racism case, I guess first 3 is in England against Yobo-Tim Howard and Lescott, then 2nd case was against Diouf, 3rd was against Bangura. In that game he called Zokora "f..ing n..ga", it was a two legged match, as usual Turkish football federation decided there was no issue, there was no racism only standard slurs (usually that's the common answer to Fenerbahce racist slurs, it is quite common), so chaos started. In second game, Zokora included all Trabzon players literally kicked him 10-15 times intentionally, sometimes when he was down and Zokora made that final blow. Found a video of it: Years later, John Mikel Obi also said Emre called him exact same phrase. As far as I remember, Zokora moved case to court and won, which made Emre first Turkish player who officially convicted from racism, sentenced 2 months or something.
Steve Coogan to play Mick McCarthy in film about bust-up with Roy Keane Guardian sport please log in to view this image Steve Coogan is to play Mick McCarthy in a film about the then Republic of Ireland manager’s bust-up with Roy Keane before the 2002 World Cup. Saipan, scheduled for release next summer, takes the name of the Pacific island where the squad were preparing for the tournament hosted by Japan and South Korea. McCarthy said he sent Keane home because the midfielder had become “a disruptive influence”. Playing Keane will be the Bafta-nominated Cork native Éanna Hardwicke. Coogan’s mother was born in Ireland and his great-grandparents on his father’s side emigrated from Ireland to England. Keane is from Cork. Keane’s exit came after he criticised the training facilities and approach to training and delivered a withering assessment of McCarthy in front of the rest of the squad when he said to his manager: “You can stick your World Cup up your arse.” McCarthy said: “I cannot and will not tolerate being spoken to with that level of abuse being thrown at me so I sent him home.” The film’s producers, Macdara Kelleher and John Keville, said: “A million words have been written about what happened on that fateful week in 2002 on the tiny island of Saipan. Next year audiences will finally get to experience first-hand the feud between Roy Keane and Mick McCarthy and why it was labelled ‘the worst preparation for a World Cup campaign’.”
