We are Sh*ite in the air at both ends. I've said it before and I'll say it again !!! Hobbs at fault for at least one of the goals, never went with the runner, very easy header for their player at the near post. We are Sh*ite at both ends in the air. I listened to the game on Blunderside and at one point Swanny said something along the lines of during a City attack in the first half... " That was dieing for somebody who can head a ball, but Koren is'nt that confident in the air" We have lost too many games now or drawn games that we should have won (Bristol City) because we are Fuking crap in the air and it needs sorting ASAP. I said months ago, we need a Defender who can head a ball at both ends of the pitch defensively and is a threat from set pieces, we need a midfield general (Ashbee Type) and a tall, young, striker who is good with his nogging.
Fecking all 5 bets came in accept City would have won £2100 off a fiver :/ onwards and upwards though!
"We have lost too many games now or drawn games that we should have won (Bristol City) because we are Fuking crap in the air and it needs sorting ASAP." ----------------- Mate, just back from the game and if you think (or your commentators think) you should have won tonight's game, then you need new commentators. Get a new team whilst your at it, because that scoreline flattered you.
Sa1nts - your Asst Manager Crosby has just been quoted as saying we were the best team you have faced this season. Not sure where you've got the impression that our commentators thought that we should have won the game. Certainly not from our local radio station. Pity you lot having to listen to Adkins twittering on week after week - thank fook he left Scunny for your lot - the guy makes Dave Bassett seem positively succinct. PS See how your supporters like having to travel 250miles midweek in the rematch in March.
Strange that because apparently your Assistant Manager said we were the best team you've played this season, maybe it's you that knows sod all about football!
Yeah, you were ****ing brilliant tonight, they should give you the trophy right now. Crosby's a halfwit anyway not good enough for us, do a job for you ******s though, he says that about every team that's ever been beaten at SMS (which is all of them) . And doh boy? Why write this then? "We have lost too many games now or drawn games that we should have won......" Get over it, you lost. Thanks for the points.
I can see why you've read it that way, but it doesn't necessarily refer to you. It just happens that one of your goals came from the same problem so it's highlighted the weakness yet again, and if we didn't have this weakness we'd have got a draw tonight because your second goal came from a player ball watching and losing out on a cross to a player he should have had covered.
Red & White Barny Army - Thanks mate- very disappointed they made it a midweek game - love going down to Southampton. The way you're going the PL beckons. Hopefully we can make the playoffs.
He's a massive dick, the saints mod's have already asked if I wanted him sorting when he came on here **** stirring a month ago. They suspect he's a Pompey fan trying to embarrass them.
Like i have said on another thread of yours,i was very impressed with Hull, best team i've seen at st marys this season, play the ball about nicely and have good movement, surprised you're not higher in the league to be honest!
It's been nice to hear some praise from the Southampton fans, hopefully it'll be another good game for the return match in March. Shame the match wasn't on a weekend, I had a week on the south coast near Southampton in the summer and with the New Forest, Beaulieu and Southampton itself all close by you could make a weekend of the trip. Good luck to Saints for the rest of the season (except for the game in March of course!)
http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tno=479&fid=224&sty=2&act=1&mid=2115832836 Categorical proof that you are a w**k*r. Good luck with your debilitating handicap.
Scooterboy, what a load of bollox you spout. "I've had a word with the Saints mods" Clown. Anyway ignoring Coco for a minute........if that was the best team at SMS this season, then I suggest the other posters are not ST holders. Yes, when you had possession (the small amount of possession that you actually had), your team knocked it about quite sweetly. When they didn't have the ball, they tracked back, closed down and generally made life difficult for the league leaders. Hull's attitude was that there is no way Saints are going to increase on their phenomenal home record, plus we're playing the leaders. It was a big game for Hull and like Bristol City before them I'll be watching their next result with indifferent interest, by all accounts Watford should have beaten BCFC. But then team's don't get fired up for Watford, do they? Leave you in pieces now. The most unfriendly bunch on the forum, I learnt early on to always dip my pen in vitriol when talking to you unfortunates.
I hope, if we ever start doing well in the league, that we don't come onto internet messageboards and give the big'un like Sa1nts. The rest of the Southampton fans have been class and it's great to get the feedback, despite them being pretty meaningless in the long run. Sa1nts' little rant reminds me of the old Arsenal fans off the 606 board, ie they didn't like City turning up passing it about and then tackling their players. He sounds generally disgusted that we actually turned up and didn't roll over and die for them.
