This is not a Jewell out post, I'm not feeling quite as militant as some other fans.
But I thought I'd ask who people's idea of ideal replacement (If we were to show PJ the door Tomorrow)
Personally I don't think there are any realistic stand out options (one of the reasons I believe we should stick with PJ)
although my outside shout would be Shaun O'Driscoll. Always plays good football and has worked well with a small budget.. Just a thought

If only O'Neil would come here! Fantastic manager yes. Ive been backing Jewell but after tonight I think he is one bad team performance and loss away from the boot, I dont see any other option. His player selection and tatics baffle me.

Billy Davis is an interesting one. In Lg 1 Martin Allens's doing well at Notts Cty, Westley at Stevenage. Up in Scotland there McCall at Motherwell but I'd hardly think he'd come here.

Curbs, Wilkins, Sven, Keegan, McClaren all available - I'm not sure I'd want them or if they'd come but couldn't possibly be worse.

    No to Burley!!

    Dave Jones
    Billy Davies
    Roy Keane, LOL!!
    Sean O'D
    Sven G O
    Martin O'N
Alan Shearer (not for me though)

Probably loads of others but can't be assed to write them down.

Personally i think it needs to be an experienced manager.

Although decent managers in their own right. I don't think either are ITFC material, Burley hasn't been in the game for a while and arguably isn't savvy on the modern game and (apparently) Davis isn't particularly well respected as a manager within football (don't ask me why) but that's what I've heard

Billy Davis would get my vote a cracking manager in my opinion and did wonders at Forest and Derby.

Nigel Adkins, but we haven't got a chance of pulling that one off.

I think we are missing the point a little here guys. Yes Jewell is not up to the job BUT neither is Clegg. For us to be able to climb out of this huge pile of brown stuff we desperately need a CEO who knows how to run a football club! Clegg must now take responsibility and fall on his sword. He can not keep hiding behind every manager that he has recruited. Its time for a new broom and a new CEO and manager. This is the minimum that we should be demanding!

    Agree with this!

Another option could be Alan Curbishley. He's been out the game a while, but he's always done a good job wherever he's gone. We could try and poach Lee Clark from Huddersfield too, though I don't think it will work out.

I'd like us to go with someone like Sean O'Driscoll though. He works well on a small budget and had Doncaster playing good, attractive football.

I said it when Jim went and I still maintain the best combination would be Curbishley and Holland.
I also wouldnt be against Sean O'Driscoll or Dave Jones but nobody really shouts out as must have.

martin o'neill? what dreamworld do you live in???

lee clark turned down leicester - why would he go to you???

i think you need to set the bar a little more realistically. sean o'driscoll or dave jones are both good (and underrated in my opinion) managers who like to play good football who will be desperate to get back in to football at a club they feel they can move forwards.

as for billy davies, he is an obnoxious little **** so he'd fit right in at the portaloo!
