The brief chat on the Saint Matthew thread about posts and posters of yesteryear has got me reminiscing.

RocketSwanie with his classic Freddy Adu... I remember getting excited about this as he was an absolute sensation in one of the Championship/Football Manager games!

Laura and her love of the Holy Goalie!

    Beefy, Lamby, SecondStain

    Jim Magilton/Ipswich chat!!

    The Gaston megathread!!

    Love it all!

Pretty sure he did originally but left quite quickly. Fallout over sexism perhaps?

Who was the lad who had dyslexia/couldn't spell or use punctuation?

I recall him getting a hard time and I always wished I stood up for them, but I never did!

Don't think it was Beefy, unless he changed his name

Ah, sure I remember Beef apologising for typos due to dyslexia. Perhaps not

It was a shame he left, he was always good value.

    Had snippets of info too.

For what it's worth (and with absolutely no evidence at all) I'm going to make the argument that the politics Fred caused a lot more division on here and started the slippery slope.

Yeah, even though you can always ignore it, it is hard to. I find myself having to reply to the sometimes ridiculous crap posted on there and getting annoyed by it. I should realise that is what it is posted there for.

I'm sure this person had a Southampton place as part of his name... For example Woolston or Millbrook etc

I think it has just come to me, but someone with a better memory than me might know. Was there a poster called Bridgewater Saint or something similar, is that who I'm thinking of?
