Recently HAD a pride day in the place I WAS working for the last year with an agency...

Well known whisky distiller and bottling company in Cumbernauld,Glasgow....The big invite was given out at a 'Team Brief' of all staff.Free raffles, free lunch, time off work to participate, prizes galore!!!

She(The managing director) then spoiled the fun by saying 'agency not invited, you can work instead'....Needless to say I've dropped a large income to sign on for the safe sanctuary of Job Seekers Allowance(after telling her she was a hypocritical little short-sighted ****,among other compliments,on my way past her heading for the exit door):emoticon-0127-lipss

    Inclusivity FFS....Paaahhhh!

Has anyone booked Forentina tickets recently, it's only offering seats in a couple of blocks at the end of the West and the opposing ones at the end of the East?

"All tickets purchased (including those who initially selected to sit in North and South stands) will work on any open turnstile and seating will now be unreserved across the East and West stands." - https://www.wearehullcity.co.uk/news/2024/july/24/ticket-information-fiorentina/

seems you can sit where you want

If they’ve done that then can assume they’re struggling to shift tickets. At £15 a pop for a friendly I’m not surprised…

Here agency workers are legally supposed to have the same rights and privileges as full time employees throughout the duration of their contracts - is it not the same in Scotland, Ric... You should speak to your union.

Half the attraction of agency staff to employers is precisely that they mostly don't have the same contractural rights and union recognition that permanent employees have, otherwise they'd just employ more permanent staff.

    Rightly or wrongly.

Similar here,on paper, but various things you're not entitled to...It was discrimination but there's nothing you can do about it really.

Is there nothing in the new employment legislation that might improve things? Dunno if agency work comes under zero hours or not?

We stopped off in Monmouth on way back from Swansea a few years ago one of my mates wanted to go in this particular pub, the bouncer said, “you don’t want to come in here mate” course he said “yes we are” and after ordering the drinks his brother said, “it’s a gay bar, backs to the wall lads”
