Dan Mikey and Joe were cracking posters

Probably right about the age thing. These sorts of places are dying out due to social media.

Yeah - all of it has moved to Twitter where a bunch of people pretend to have ITK links whilst sharing rumours. And build followings significantly larger than the active posters on this board

I also wonder how many posters we've lost to Saintsweb over the years.

    Much more traffic over there.

SaintsWeb seems to be many people moaning and being negative continuously - there's some fun folk on there but it is a search.

I would not even glance over the Ugly Inside.

So you are stuck with me.

I don't post loads but I read almost every day, especially during Transfer Windows!

I won't move on as this brings me happy memories of the old BBC 606 page and posting on the sly while working in an office!

So glad it lives on and to me it's better than ever! It's a great group on here with an eclectic mix, but everyone obviously just wants the club to do well!

The running jokes and puns crack me up, long may they continue!!

I'm the same - 130 posts in 13 years, but I read every day. I still know f**k all about football, but if I occasionally sound like I do when chatting to mates, chances are I'm regurgitating something I read here. Thanks, you lot.

I read Saintsweb fairly often but have never bothered registering.

    Very rarely look at TUI.

The negativity on saintsweb is actually mad.

I think it reflects badly on the whole fanbase tbh. I imagine if anyone from the club looked at it they'd be horrified.

Wouldn't surprise me if someone from the club did watch over forums and social media to ascertain the mood of the fanbase.

Is it really any different to any other club's primary forum though?

I remember reading somewhere that clubs do look at forums and specifically transfer threads for the “crowd theory”. Basically if people on a Saints forum and also half a dozen other similar sized clubs were suggesting the same player then clubs would maybe take a closer look at the player being suggested. From memory it was Brighton who said they did it as part of their recruitment process

To pun or not to pun, that is the question.
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
the slings and arrows of a thread ban
Or to take arms against Chilco's wrath
and by o-puning, end them. To pun - to quip,
No more, and by quip we say end
The cheese puns and the thousand fish jokes
That wit is heir to; tis a waggishness
    Devoutly to be wished.

Supporting the Saints has always been a Tempestuous experience and in the close season I have often had a Midsummer Night's Dream with all the great players we could sign but usually our summer signings have been a Comedy of Errors.
