Although I've backed QPR @ 28/1 EW with Skybet 1st 4. I do fancy Burnley for the title. They are 8/1 to win it, so you I couldn't believe that LiveScoreBet had them at 8/1 to win it and 8/1 to get promoted. Logged on and it let me put £20 @ 8/1 to get promoted. Might go in again later, if still 8/1 for promotion.
We know that teams that get relegated from the prem have a big advantage over the rest of us. Burnley are as short as 11/8 to get promoted. Think LSB have made a cock up with the price, check oddschecker and see the prices for winning and then promotion.
Wouldn’t be going near Leeds as favourites. For promotion I’ve gone for Sheff U, Rotherham and Colchester. £5 returns a grand. Sheff U have bought quite well and even the **** relegated teams tend to be up there. Rotherham have big fat Steve Evans and one of the bigger budgets in that league. Colchester are a rogue shout but good manager and finished last season well.
Come on you lot where is Bristol City in your reckoning? I was actually looking for some thought on Sinclair Armstrong and his move to us because there is some concern that he is being touted as our next wonder striker and for me 3 goals in 60 Championship matches tells me otherwise.
Armstrong became a bit of a fans' favourite because he's strong, quick and gives 100%. Sadly though, as you suggest, his end product is pretty woeful. His speed and power will always upset defenders, but his control and finishing are poor. If he can improve his technique he could do well for you, but most Rs fans think we did well to get reasonable money for him. I wish him well, though.
Don’t know how long a contract he’s on but I wouldn’t bank on him doing loads this season. A good impact sub most likely which is what he did best for us. Very, very inconsistent but he’s young and that can change. I think it’s fair to say he has enormous potential and a reasonably small chance of realising it. Was a bit surprised you’re so low down in the betting. Decent manager.
Thought you'd be backing Blackburn to get relegated again, especially with Szmodics apparently on his way out ! They'll seriously struggle without his goals
Was thinking Pompey maybe just because it’s a decent price. I rate Eustace and assume they’ve got a few quid from selling Wharton. Think it’s a really open league for relegation even if Oxford are likely to go.
