RIP the 6 folk killed in the A61 car/bike crash. One young lass loses her parents and sisters, an older lad loses his parents. Absolutely tragic. Family hugs all round tonight in my house.

What a career and what an influence on British music. First introduced me to the magic of Peter Green with stuff like this when he replaced Clapton in the Bluesbreakers.
Sir Kenneth Grange aged 95. Not a name I suspect many are familiar with, but he was an industrial designer with an incredible track record. He designed the Kodak Instamatic camera, the Kenwood Chef mixed, the Intercity 125 train, the current incarnation of the London black cab, pens for Parker, razors for Wilkinson Sword, it's a very long list and everyone on here will have used a product he designed.
Hell of an influence indeed. First saw him in '65, last saw him around 15 years ago here in Toronto. Was still giving his all. Remarkable career. RIP John Mayall, you incubated many a star musician, along with contemporary Graham Bond..
Just read his obituary in The Guardian. Memories of driving up to Brid. taking our kid to play for Trinity. Fkn 'ell, I'm getting old(er).
Sky Sports rugby league commentator Bill Arthur has passed away at the age of 68 after a lengthy battle with prostate cancer.
I’m not sure if it is acceptable but I’m going to post this anyway. Just found out my cousin has passed away, he had cancer, battled with it for a fair few years but today sadly succumbed. Our Jamie was a one off, absolutely character, well known around Milton Keynes for being one of the best pool players in the league. His hero was Alex Higgins, he would turn up in full green 3 piece suite with a massive green hat on. What the opposition thought god only knows but when he played that went out the window. At every family occasion he’d turn up dressed in something completely mad, elvis, a parrot and once in a dress. Even though he knew he was dying he still would post the most funniest videos on Facebook, mad as a hatter but a really likeable bloke. I will miss you Jamie, rest easy mate, all the pain has gone we’ll all see you soon. Ps, when we were kids he knocked my teeth out in a cricket match, when I got back from hospital his first word were “ you should have ducked norm “ lol, that was typical Jamie. Too many people are lost to this terrible illness, to all of you my heart goes out to all their families. xx If you are really lucky you can meet some interesting people in your life, I was lucky, he was my cousin
