Strikes me as someone who will have a well formed opinion of the squad and will be under no illusions whatsoever. Seems very much an if you're not up to scratch he's not interested type. I like his style, seems hard but fair. Players respond best to that.
Even To this day I can still pick me and my then future wife out in the crowd. Zoom into this on just right if the far corner of the goal please log in to view this image
Some funny scores. Not sure if he mixed up the centre backs, what did Roberts do on the ball to help out the team, Matete got a better score than a few others like Adil and Rusyn, neither were great but Matete was poor. They’ve just given anyone who shot on / near goal extra marks. No mention of Adil’s cross field ball.
There was a point mid second half when I thought there aren’t many of these I’d care too much if they moved. A few could develop on loan of course and it’s pre season but I’m probably not far wrong. We need a bit extra quality in depth to make us competitive for a full season.
Wish I could hit a golf shot like Hemir’s goal. Some hit that lad. Before any game we have someone should kick Hemir in the balls so when he goes onto the pitch he’s pissed. Hell of a player inside that lad. Show him a few Joe Jordan videos so he gets the idea. Anyway congratulations to the him.
Aye that was a belter as was Defoe’s against them at our place. My memory is getting worse…. Yeboah only ever seemed to score ridiculously good strikes mind.
One of my best pals is a Leeds lad and he had this Yeboah DVD he used to put on when was pissed, and was mental. Everyone remembers the Liverpool and Palace (might have been Wimbledon, Selhurst Park anyway…) ones but there was a bunch of them that were absolute worldies.
This is the Eddie Gray goal against Burnley, I always hated the way he held his elbows out but he was some player ... ... what's funny, with this clip, is how he totally ignores a stricken team mate, Albert Johannesonon, on the ground Edit - just found this if anyone likes a bit of pre-1973 nostalgia. https://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2014/oct/17/golden-goal-eddie-gray-leeds-burnley-1970
The more I see the Hemir goal the more impressive it is, extremely rare amount of power in his shooting.
Hemir looks really confident on those clips, as you'd expect playing with teammates he's grown up with. I really hope we see the lad's confidence start to build as he's got the potential to be a powerhouse - and a skilful one at that.
