Starmer will do what he's told, like they all do! Previously a human rights lawyer, I gather. Let's see how that goes in his term as PM. If his predecessors are anything to go by, alongside the current situation faced in this country and the world, I suspect his human rights credibility will be in tatters when all is said and done. Hopefully not!
Biden and the Clintons have already backed Harris, I expect Obama will follow suit so the only question will be who the running mate will be.(It’ll certainly be a white male).
I don't agree at all tbh. Starmer hasn't shown his stubborn nasty side yet but I can't see him bowing down to the likes of Trump ... ... he's exactly the kind of loudmouth bully he loves to take on. Boris Johnson thought he'd make mincemeat of him but soon realised he couldn't handle him with noise and bluster.
This. They're absolutely clueless if they think a Black woman with immigrants as parents is going to win that election. Trump will have the morons believing that she is an illegal who wants to take their guns and open the borders. As daft as this sounds, Newsom looks and sounds presidential. He also makes Trump look like the old man he is. I don't think there needs to be much more to it. He's a much better option than Harris, I'd say.
Can’t say I know much about either to be honest. It’ll be Harris though. Will being a woman help ? Bright woman V Old sexist bigoted dinosaur
Not sure Kamala is the right choice but a female and female of colour at that is just going to straight up ruin Trump's debates if there are more to come. Given his history with women, he won't just be able to bully them, he'll have to actually talk about policy.
Newsom is the Governor of the state here and oh my I hope he doesn’t get in with his woke sh*t. He cannot sort out San Francisco never mind the USA. If I was Harris I would try to persuade Michelle Obama to run for VP. I believe two females non white would get the democrats over the line.
The democrats already have the votes of those that think he's an old sexist bigoted dinosaur. In fact, I doubt they've lost many voters to Trump at all. They'll have lost voters to apathy, those who voted for Biden and feel like they got nothing back. I'm not close enough to American politics to know if his VP can distance herself from the last few years and present change but I'd suspect not.
I think you're being very naive mate. He's absolutely going to bully her and millions of Americans will lap it up. But if he needs to talk about policy, he'll lie about her letting millions of Mexicans into the country and scare the people that way. He doesn't fight clean, I wouldn't expect him to start now.
