Fantastic footage! The game was supposed to be on MOD but there was a BBC strike so it wasn’t shown.

Tony Evans put us one up with a superb goal but here’s that Lamour cock <doh>

I can't imagine Erol Bulet having the players train in the car park these days Masky. Some good bluebirds there. Whatever became of Brian Atlee?

This was the one and only game I took my missus to. She wasn't keen on the smoke that came through the floor of the Grange End when someone set fire to the rubbish that accumulated underneath

Strangely and never trying to outdo you BT, I took Mrs M to a game for the one and only time, back in the seventies. A 0-1 loss to Leyton Orient, with Laurie Cunningham scoring the only goal of a home defeat with an overhead kick! I had my end away later on with a similiar acrobatic position ..back of the net! :emoticon-0103-cool: Masky Of Llandaff

I’m currently reading a book about our 1975-76 season. Attlee started in the team that season but dropped out. He played for us for a few more years but left to go to a little club down west then to the snow queens before retiring.

There were a few local lads in the team then - David Giles (another who went west<doh>) Pete Sayer, Derek Showers, Gil Reece, Tony Villars, Ritchie Morgan (or itchy organ as some called him:emoticon-0138-think) Brian Attlee and of course Phil Dwyer.

That was a mad game. Should have been well ahead until the penalty and Gavin Ward kept it down to single figures.

The highlight was the hysterical commentator.<laugh>

    Who was he?
