The Professionals was on Britbox here a few years back. I watched a fair few episodes. I know what you mean. It hasn’t aged well but I still managed to enjoy it. When Life On Mars was first aired I thought it was excellent. Oddly though I tried to watch it again a few months back and it wasn’t as good as I remember. Gene Hunt’s character was very well played by Glenister if not a bit hammy at times. I tried Ashes To Ashes but couldn’t get past the first episode. I’ve read somewhere that John Simms said there was another series of LOM coming. The Sweeney was the best out of the three. Regan and Carter knew a thing or two. The Ray Winstone version was an abomination of a film though.
Agree with all of that. Sweeney one of the best ever. Remake was dire. I enjoyed Glenister hamming it up lol. I think it took a lot of notes from old 70's shows that way. Starsky and Hutch was another favourite of the 70's and a great theme tune. I did like the remake with Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson even though I'm not a fan of Stiller. Can't believe that is 20 years old now. Here's another great theme. The wardrobe dept was a laugh on UFO, set in the future of "1980" lol. Think I mainly watched it for Anouska Hempel
PS @Evil Jimmy Krankie I can't take you seriously most of the time with that god awful avatar. One of the most annoying characters on TV ever FFS
I’m sure there are other jimmy krankie images but none that personify the inherent demonic evilness that is The Krankies.
Didn't like it, wasn't fussed on Miami vice either, or knightrider. Here's an old probably forgotten one . Rich man poor man I loved as a kid. Especially Nick Nolte's character. Theme tune is shìte, wonder how it's stood the test of time ?
Saturday tea time, back at the innocent age of me being more bothered about watching the lifeguards disarm a nuclear device and not realising what was in front of me.
Haha yes that was him , Falconetti. If I remember correctly he kneecapped Nick Nolte the fooking coont
