MIGRANT SURGE UNDER LABOUR,WARNS FRANCE. Britain faces a record influx of 60,000 migrants arriving by small boat this year...officials and experts warned. People smugglers are telling them it is now "open season" as a result of the Government scrapping the Rwanda plan...as they bid to send 400 across the Channel each day. Already more than 14,000 have come to the UK this year...with officials bracing for a surge. Gangs have already started to increase the number of migrants being put on small boats since Labour came to power nine days ago. One French prosecuter source in Calais said around 400 migrants are likely to try to make the perilous journey daily for the next few months. Around 70 were seen packed on just one boat which made it to Britain last week....part of a group of 419 which arrived on Tuesday....another 126 were rescued and returned to France. Four migrants died after a boat capsized in the Channel off Boulogne on Friday...according to the French coastguards In all ...at least 177 migrants have died in the Channel since 2018....according to the International Organization for Migrants. And on June 18th...882 people crossed on 15 small boats...a new record for the year...it comes as French Police brace themselves for the Olympics...which starts on July 26th....There are fears this will take resources away from policing the coast to stop gangs sending over boats. The prosecution sources said of the escalating migrant crises...."This is deadly serious...It has a real risk of overthrowing the system in place and will become impossible to stop"....It is being discussed to prepare for 60,000 this year. "We are fearing the worse...It's a deadly mix of warm weather...the Rwanda deterrent being removed...growing confidence and fewer police securing the borders..It's a recipe for disaster". PS.....If all these "caught" migrants are being held somewhere.....do we assume that the groups of wandering migrants seen on most south east High Streets have crossed the Channel without being caught....therefore increasing the migrant count by what... times two or three or ? So Labour scrapped the Rwanda plan on day one.....and have no idea what to replace it with.....do we need to lock our garden sheds up to stop migrants sleeping in them over night....is there any answer to the problem.
There’s been an attempt to assassinate Donald Trump. I’m not a Catholic but if I was, I’d be straight up to the church to confess to my first thought being “bugger, he missed”. My second was to wish I was a journo on the Trump campaign tour. My first question would be “do you still think it’s an inalienable human right to own a military grade assault rifle Mr. Trump?”.
Like you notdistant I curse the fact that Americans can't do anything right. The only problem with him missing though is that Trump will milk this for all it's worth and it more than likely will tilt the election result. I heard that his team were already blaming Biden for what happened and as stupid as that might be there will be a shed load of people who will buy it.

I read on the beeb news site that there are thousands of conspiracy posts on X already. Have to say though when I first saw the video of it I did think it looked a bit staged. Not sure anyone would volunteer to lie on a roof with a rifle and get shot dead for a cause though so maybe not. Although this is America.........

One of Trump’s rabid attack dogs has accused the Secret Service of being too busy being woke, by which he means employing those other than white males I expect. However, they have admitted that they didn’t put anyone on that roof because it was on a bit of a slope and was therefore dangerous. Not as dangerous as someone emptying a assault rifle magazine into a crowd I imagine. Astonishingly, it also seems the shooter was seen using a rangefinder an hour before the shots were fired. He also had a backpack. The Secret Service lost him in the crowd but allowed Trump to go out there anyway. There’s more to protecting the President to well-cut black suits and dark glasses and Secret Service definitely Have Fallen. I think they need to get Gerard Butler in PDQ.

Well I'd guess at the exit door. As you know I'm not a fan of modern gadgets and ways of having to do things these days. I object to being forced at almost every turn to either go without something or download an App. When I am forced into a situation my go to response is "one day me and my biro will once more rule the World". Behold that day is coming.........
I knew my old school abacus would come handy one day.....this is the way ahead for modern warfare.....the Russians and Chinese are years ahead of us in this field.
