First 40 is not blind optimism, the way we wanted to press was very effective, the way we moved the ball was effective. Had we a proper striker in the box we’d have scored 1/2. Not many positives after that but the players were flat out and full respect to Walter doing it, if anything is going to get him more players it’s doing that
Technically he’s decent though, he’s just absolutely miniscule and can’t use his body to make up for it. Hall showed more in that cameo than Vaughan has for a while. Hall wasn’t knocked off the ball once
Aside from implementing a very effective press and getting plenty of crosses in the box. Again, we have very little attacking talent right now, but did very well under the circumstances.
Naive maybe but sitting deep and making the game look competitive on the scoreline doesn’t get Acun pulling his finger out to get some quality in
Acun and Tan will get their fingers out when players we want are ready to sign. You could say tonight wasn't a good advert for us attracting players just as easily. Thankfully I don't think it'll make much difference either way.
Bloody ell I enjoyed that, though when it breaks down and our goalkeeper is that far out all you can expect is a goal but not all championship players will be able to put that in the net. Oh my god Coyle is gonna love this way of playing he was bloody everywhere. We need to bear in mind this is only a short time into preseason and we were playing a very good side. We are either going to be the fittest team in the league by a mile or a treat of zombies because watching that I nearly passed out and I’ve not run an inch. When this is good it’s gonna be amazing, when not, pretty embarrassing I’m afraid. I for one will look forward to sitting down on the east stand and watching it live…. Up the tigers… or should I say lions !!!!
Also have to say mr hall was fairly impressive the short time he was on and looks like he can motor a bit
Seems he's been a positive so far. Although thought Coyle and Abdus did ok individually but as a team we rarely looked like a cohesive unit and that was reflected in a scoreline.thst didn't flatter Fenerbache one bit.
