Not sure if some of the names being put on here are real names or the Countdown conundrum, albeit with more letters.
I'm fine with that. Not sure why we'd want to use one of our two PL loan slots on him - those two slots are very precious.
Cos we're a club who don't have much interest in our own talents anymore, sadly. Sport Republic would rather sign other clubs youngsters.
Sadly, I do. They've even publicly said there isn't much talent in our academy. Until I see evidence that there's a pathway and chances given to our excellent young lads, it is unfortunate, but actions will always speak volumes. I've said it before, but last season; you can't honestly say that Mara was a better option than Ballard, or Sulemana better than Dibling?
It did appear to be true last season, we had kids who had goodbpre seasons but quickly lost out to no hopers like Mara, Suli etc
It’s very tin foil hat thinking for me. Maybe Sulemana and Mara are better than Ballard and Dibling, which is why they got picked/bought in the first place? Do you think the coaches/manager are being told to play worse players because we paid money for them? Rather than developing our own talent who are obviously way better? Not like if we developed a young player from our academy we could sell them for huge money if they actually are any good, oh wait
Fair play to Martin for being so transparent. Seems a bit weird from Che. Guess he’s holding out for a load of money as clubs get desperate for goals. Big gamble from him though. He may end up with a much worse club than us. If I was saints I’d be reducing the offer more & more every week he doesn’t sign
Maybe I’m overreacting but I think if I am Saints, I’m withdrawing the offer at this point and just moving on. With all due respect, Ché isn’t the sort of player who can do this sort of thing (I totally get why the club would prefer if he renewed as a bang average/OK PL striker with no fee involved)
