It wasn't many years ago we were sniffing around the Man U reserve team. Still think that is the pathway forward, Buy 2-3, sell one on for a decent profit. We're never going to compete until we bring in players, develop them and move them on. Selling Bowen, KLP, Greaves and Philogene should tell players there is a pathway to the Premier League. Agents should be all over us

Agreed. Think younger players are pushing for it more too. These kids see the likes of Bellingham, Saka, Mainoo and aspire for the opportunities that would give them the platform to reach that level.

We did it with Simons, let’s do it some more. Particularly this season where the pre season planning has ruled us out at this stage for me. Get some young blood in and give them a platform with the experience we have to succeed and make us a **** load of money

Mike White says nothing in it as of now. Was shortlisted earlier in the summer but not one they’re working on.

Where did you see it? Fenerbahçe has to offload at least 4 foreigners without any new transfer, I don't think they will recall him, yet. Crespo, Krunic, Fayed and Peres are possible candidates, Crespo might stay if Mou wants to keep a Portuguese fella.

This season yes, last 8 seasons Tufan was ahead of him on NT selection.

Of seriously competing at the top end, absolutely.

I still think we’ll have a squad by the end of august that finishes top half

First of all, Watford was in Premier League, not Championship. He lost his place when he couldn't find time there. At Fenerbahce he was removed from squad in late March, after supporting Ozil when he had a fight with manager, so he did not play at all and removed from NT squad.

NT coaches told him to find a place to play to be back, and that's how Hull happened. Since then he keeps talking about going back to NT:

To be fair, he would be the only Fener player I would say yes, I mean among the ones they want to offload.

Might add a bit of steel in the engine room, I understand Sporting Lisbon are interested as well, and they have qualified for the Champions League so this may influence his choice.

It's genuinely sad that after finishing 7th in probably the hardest Championship ever, we've taken ourselves out of the running of being at the top end in a weaker division before a ball has been kicked.

Aside from the top 4 it was a fairly standard championship though. Burnley likely run away with it this season, Blunts making smart signings, Luton be very strong, Boro looking strong, Norwich will always be decent, WBA have a good gaffer, Wendies are signing a few. Will just as difficult as ever this season. I think this would’ve happened regardless of who was in charge we’ve needed a clear out of such due to the board but hopefully we kick on from here

I trust us to sign good players HT just more how long these players will play for us. Currently not running sustainably on the football side of things, yes plenty of time left to sign but if the bulk are loans again and we don’t go up, it’s a restart again..
