If England are really considering Potter we're going backwards. If they insist on an Englishman Howe is the clear choice but Klopp would be a statement of intent that we're looking to play expansive entertaining football...
He needs to ditch the Scouse victim mentality that he succumbed to when he was at Liverpool before doing anything with England for me...
Gareth handed his notice to the FA this morning. They passed it back, he passed it to Bellingham, he passed it sideways to Kane who passed it back to the keeper!
I thought this is an excellent summary of Southgate….. Southgate always fell short when it really mattered, writes CRAIG HOPE https://mol.im/a/13640799
Good choice, now he's a "real" English born & bred manager to serve this country for many years into the future.
All the English managers mentioned have no more tactical acumen than Southgate has. The only English manager who's shown any level of tactical nous is Gary O'Neil at Wolves, who did a superb job last season. However, he's pissed everyone off at the high level, calling for tge abolition of VAR in the Premier League. Shame
