Fair point, £10 was just what Cyprus did, even £5 would help to stop people either not turning up for appointments, or I have been in A&E a few times, and listening to what people go with are trivial matters which shouldn't even be dealt with at hospital.
We do the same here John. Costs about a tenner too. There are loads a exceptions for people on low incomes, OAPs or if you need to go every month for some thing chronic. Same applies if you tip up to A&E.
If his witness account of what happened is true then it doesn't look good for the police and security services. For those who don't know, the shooter was on a building top only 150m from the speakers lecturn.
There was one person killed and another seriously injured too, the shooter is dead, whether that is the one reported dead or not not sure.
There are 2 dead being reported, the shooter and a person in the crowd. I can't stand Trump but this is a terrible thing to happen. They really need to get a grip on their gun culture.
They need to have a triage center before anyone enters the A&E department, that would massively help, they employ Nazis as doctors receptionists now who vet everyone before they give out an appointment
Unless its changed in the last 12 years, you usually do see a triage nurse first, if you're a walk-in patient. There's complaints about the public health services in most countries in Europe - waiting times, queues, difficulties in seeing the right specialists. Ppl are living longer with chronic illnesses and increasingly complex needs, plus a rapidly increasing population over the last 30 years.
Well according to ‘Emily ‘ on Nicky Campbells programme ,a week ago or so, she wishes that all the old people would just die because they’ve also poisoned the planet and have all the money . That would solve it , I’m sure her parents and grandparents are proud of her .
I’m torn with this tbh. NHS should always be free at the point of delivery IMO…but NHS dentistry isn’t free is it, and it can cost several quid to even park at the hospital to get treatment. However there is a big problem with non attendance, and inability to get appointments. Maybe the answer is a small deposit, say £5, that gets automatically refunded when you attend? There would need to be something in place for those without the means or facilities though. Maybe one appointment an hour (or whatever) left open for those to attend, but anyone could really use them in practice, and those with a credit card could pre book other slots and get refunds after attendance? Hmm…as I’m writing it gets complicated! Maybe it should just be focussed around walk ins instead?… don’t know…it’s difficult. And the NHS IT systems can’t even recognise that appointments in the same building with different consultants clash, and even when you’re stood in front of the receptionist they can’t even check other NHS appointments in the same building. So nothing I’ve suggested is possible without huge investment in their IT (although that’s needed anyway to avoid things like my Mum getting so many incorrect appointments, including entirely blank ones, that she ignores them all and just calls the consultant's secretary whenever a letter lands to ask her…creating more admin of course) While they’re sorting IT then they should be able to click a button when you’re in your consultation to give your reg number a free pass out of the car park (you can’t have HRI car park simply free or it would be full of football fan’s cars every time City play) Simple…?
