This second match is a bit tougher than the 'Sheels game, mind In a way I'm glad that we're getting beat at half-time . . . . to see what Reggie's made of
There is that but but we seemed to move up and down the pitch as a team if you know what I mean. There just doesn't seem any movement off the ball, yes it would be a harder game than Shields because of the level they play at but the whole thing just doesn't seem right.
Just went and looked, they only started one of them in Kwak and their second half team had more of them.
The big drop off between both starting line ups is the midfield Neil rigg and adil - compliment each other really well, lots of energy and all 3 have the ability to pass forward at pace Matete embo and jobe - dont compliment each other at all, not sure any of them control a game plus matete n embo havent played in ages All about getting minutes in the legs, and probably more importantly these games are vital for le bris to know who can play his style of play or not
Interesting game this. Earlier we looked like a more fluid front 3 and midfield with 1 sitting. That half seemed a bit more rigid
The time might be right to cash in on Bellingham, his stock is probably at it's highest because of his brother, and the money could drastically improve us in key areas that is needed IMO.
After such a layoff I don't actually think Embleton is doing too badly, although I think he's a limited footballer tbh. Jobe is like his brother has at the Euros, impossible to know where he's playing at times.
Terrifying that midfield, dont think we will ever see it again thankfully, But of course for some it will all be O/9's fault . I would switch to a back three at half time.
I think he would benefit from having a player behind him that's sitting to give him the freedom to get forward
Agree again, that 1 sitting makes such a difference. Saw it earlier with Neil allowing Rigg and Adil freedom, it's an interesting watch
It’s pres season and the results don’t really bother me although I always like to see the lads win Starkest difference between the 2 games for me is the pace we are looking to play at. I get Gateshead are better than shields but I’m not seeing the same intent.
Looking forward to seeing that, as much as I'd love Neil to be box to box, he really is adapting to that cdm playmaker role
