He definitely is. He’s posting all sorts of rubbish on Instagram and the BBC reports it as truth.

I think this transfer window is a real challenge and I don't think we've really seen a promoted club get it right the past few seasons and the challenges are probably even more considerable for us because we pretty much built this squad in league1. And if any group of players are deserving to be given a chance at this level its this group. They have been outstanding and the mentality they showed particularly at the end of last season I don't think I've seen from a Town team before and they are good players and I hope some may prove themselves in the PL although there is the concern that they reached their absolute max performance levels last season and might get found out this.

I've been pleased with the players we've signed so far and the type of player we are looking to recruit, however the sums of money seem crazy but that's just the market we are in although it just feels obscene to think the great players we've signed over the past few seasons for very little are 20x worse than those we are buying. Given how much we paid for this team the gradient to improve this squad is crazy.

This gradient also brings challenges because are you going to keep a £20 million player on the bench? Players who got us there are going to feel like they deserve a chance and our big strength was our collective mentality, does this cause friction on the group? We've seen this change the dynamic of the group when Burley was in charge. Its a really hard balancing act but I'm sure it is something at the forefront of McKenna and Ashtons minds.

One thing I would say which I haven't seen yet in terms of potential recruits is I think we're lacking a bit of PL/top level experience, we are going for young up and coming talent. Again that balance is important as shown last season with Luongo and Morsy having that experience to get us through games.

Reportedly Philogene is off to Villa and the Greaves deal has been separated. That’s a huge blow.

Wouldn't surprise me if Villa loaned him out to us.
He has a good season, and you can add 10m + to his value.

Whatever the plan b and c is, we’re not getting another player like him for south of £40m. It was an absolute steal.

Totally agree yorkie, would've been a quality signing, even for 20m (still could I suppose)

Hi folks,I’ve previously posted here as Bigalreigned but have been closed out of my account as my email address changed. The only way to get back in is to open a new account.Hence my lack of comments on our transfer business to date.
Pleased with the signings so far and hoping we get Delap and Szmodics across the line, plus a GK and younger CM (Downes??).

The only worry with Jack Clarke is his fitness, is he injury prone?

Greaves looks a good signing to me, although in an area we have probably the best cover already. I wonder what this means for Burgess and Edmundson, I'm guessing with the latter we may see him move on. Also does McKenna think Burgess (who has been outstanding) is too slow for the PL?
