So to summarise: Regis is really impressed with set up and highlighting importance of fans as 12th man. He said again it’s about timing. Sometimes the club outgrows a player eg. Good in league one but can’t make the step up or the player outgrows the club in terms of their ability and our position. Oh I forgot, when discussing why Le Bris didn't bring his own team here. Speakman did say expect something in few days or the coming week. Le Bris said himself wanting people who understand Sunderland / English league, rather than bringing French colleagues etc...
My thoughts on Regis……. A very deep, thoughtful manager who I think has a strong philosophy of how he wants the team to play. He spoke about the need to impress on players the need to take personal responsibility on the pitch. On early impressions and I like him a lot but it may take time to get his ideas and philosophy across. I just hope we give him that time because I think he will really come good for us
