Honestly , I don’t see him make contact with anyone. I’m not excusing his behaviour just stating what I’ve seen. It’s not a FIFA competition so it will be interesting to see how it’s handled. I’ve googled imaged it and there are loads of pictures of the incident but not a single one showing him landing a punch on anyone. Clearly very confrontational though. If there is a picture, someone, somewhere will post it.
Hadnt seen or heard that he had to be honest. Just read that he went into the crowd with a load of other players to get close to their families as they were brewing threatened by fans. If he’s punched a supporter then yeah that’s a bit different although if it’s cos his family were being threatened then can understand it. Not quite the same as cantona kicking someone unprovoked lol

Yeah seems very similar to the Dier case and he was shown leniency. Different governing bodies though of course. What Cantona did was dreadful but not sure I'd call it unprovoked.

Physically unprovoked then. Players get abuse constantly not saying it’s right btw, but if you kicked every fan that abused you you’d be getting a hell of a ban. Saying that it might stop some of the abuse!
OK....but iirc. Simmons had previously been jailed for whacking a spanner into a Pakistani guys skull,so it certainly came from a racist.
