I hope just gets a slap on the wrist... But honestly I think events like this should be treated very seriously. At least should be treated very seriously when it's not one of ours involved. If this were a United player I would say a 6 month ban for fighting with a fan is not too harsh.
I’ve watched four separate videos of the incident and I didn’t see him throw a single punch. His arm, while holding onto exchanged Colombian shirt in his hand, is extended towards one fan and doesn’t look like to have made contact. He then jumps around in a boxing defensive stance towards the same fan. Just going into the stands in a confrontational way will result in some sort of punishment. The head of Uruguayan football association has spoken out in defence stating that it happened because of lack of safety measures in the stadium and player’s families were in danger.
He clearly does, and not just once I applaud him for sticking up for his family, but he's 100% getting banned for it
