The clubs accepted they got the last 2 windows wrong, we couldnt keep signing kids and if people think a club of our size and structure take advise from some lunatic on a forum they are even more mental than I thought Some of the lads I go with have lost their seats now because they spat their dummies out at the lack of experience we signed and have now gone back with their tails between their legs trying to find a seat in the same area. Baffles me how any sane man can think that a club that was in the mess we were in can be turned around in less than 3 years !
When you think about it, any striker should jump at the chance of joining us. If we still had Ross for example, any new striker would have to rely on injuries and late substitutions to get some game time but at this moment in time we have no recognised first choice striker so any striker we sign would (should) automatically get a start in every game (unless he’s useless) As players want to play all the time, having no striker makes us an obvious choice for any striker looking to play. It's a huge selling point to put to any striker we are looking at and if the choice was us or a club with several recognised first team strikers already on their books it’s a no brainer.
Baffles me even more that some knacker would cancel their season card over something so trivial then go and buy another one because we’ve signed Alan Browne
2 of them actually but not on the basis of signing Browne, this was a few weeks ago when the new strip and manager was announced. Basically made a very stupid statement about having enough and not going back when they were both drunk and off the back of that end of season shambles.

Just been reading that apparently Alex Neil influenced Brownes decision to come here. Should make the tateys who still get upset over him feel a bit daft.
Therell be quite a few, i was watching clips of tom cannon the other day and i think he would be ideal Hes got a bit of everything, can drop deeper defensively to block passing lanes but can also press really well. In possession he makes really intelligent runs between defenders but also capable of dropping into pockets to receive the ball to feet
Which we may yet do this window. I don’t understand people hailing this signing as showing the start of a brave new dawn, with a change in direction and approach from the club and ‘the model’ being dumped or flexed or whatever you want to call it. Although different players, in terms of squad profile and make up, Browne is just replacing Dack/Evans. There’s no grand change in approach evidenced as yet. That’s not a criticism of the club as I’m all in for what they’re doing.
Knows Browne from Preston too! I wonder if he’ll be available on loan, you’d imagine so. Is his back issue all sorted now?
Massive outcome bias with all of this IMO. Ultimately the fanbase is interested in success or failure. If we bought only kids but had a great year the fans would be happy. Conversely I can't see people patting Speakman on the back if we only sign players with loads of champ experience but then have a bad season.
Can’t say I know much about Browne but on the face of it looks exactly the type of signing we needed to add. A great start to our (outfield) summer transfer business.
Lots of positives at the moment - Rigg and Bellingham happy to stay. Browne a very solid signing and a leader which was a necessity - our central midfield is looking very healthy imo. Club seemingly don't need to sell anyone unless they get an exceptional offer so some things are being done right. Optimism is trickling back.
I was a bit underwhelmed by Moore, if I am honest. He started out of the block very well but then peetered out.
