Beşiktaş couldn’t agree a fee with West Brom for Yokuşlu but apparently he does not want to stay in England and wants to go back to Turkey. Similar situation to Tufan. Don’t think we will get him.
Just catching up on the Philogene stuff now so not sure if this has been asked, but if Villa were to buy him back then potentially sell him directly to Ipswich. This would then surely mean we wouldn’t be able to insert a sell on fee ourselves if he moved on from there?
I'd assume as much yeah, it's a separate deal. That's their benefit to gain at the end of the day. Only way to increase our gains now would be if someone offered more and Villa matched it, but why would, say Palace bid more than 18 million knowing we've already accepted 18 million... It is what it is now. Purely down to the player to decide where he goes. We'd either get the 12.4 million from Villa or the full amount (I believe) if he chooses one of the others.
He's our player, so as part of the deal we could say to Villa that we want 25% of any future sale. In fact, I'd expect us to do exactly that; if we know that Villa will sell him and they'll get more than they're paying to buy him back, then it would be Andy Goram levels of mad if we didn't put anything in.
I'd guess we can't do that... If they've already got a pre-determined discount I'd be gobsmacked if they'd overlooked us being able to add a sell-on in there if/when he goes back.
Don’t think RB Salzburg and Bayern Munich or Sturm Graz have sloping training pitches. They are all technically in the Alps, though not at Mont Blanc heights.
As far as I know there are specific ski hotels converted to serve football teams every summer with 2-3 pitches available. It is a well known business there. In the end high altitude-less oxygen causes more blood cells which enhances athletic performance until body adapts routine in a few months. As far as I know you reap benefits for 3 months after a minimum 3 weeks of altitude training.
Yeah because all Turkish people know each other and are the best of friends and act like a hive mind.
so that 25% would get claimed if he moved straight to Ipswich from Villa I imagine, which would near enough give us the full Philogene money. But with no sell on for the villa to Ipswich deal obviously so would potentially lose out than if we dealt directly with Ipswich. If that wasn’t the case I can’t see the point in Villa getting in the way of the deal as they’d still be getting their 30%
Nice pun, considering Okay Yokuslu is İzmir-born and Omur is Trabzon-born, statistically they are very likely to be exact opposite ends of political spectrum in Turkey.
I've been thinking for a few months of whom Abdüs reminds me of. It's just occurred to me: he's a buff Ritchie Richard. He's Rik Mayall reincarnated. No? Just me then.
