What has always puzzled me about people who believe the Earth is flat….what would governments/scientists gain by lying about the planet being round. Mind you that is true of most conspiracy theories.

Interestingly, scientists or probably mathematicians have calculated using geometry that the Universe is flat. <laugh>

I just can’t see how anyone can come back from something like that, it’s just devastating beyond belief.

So tragic, apparently the suspect was the partner of the youngest daughter and they had recently split up. His brother is doing time for beating someone to death..shocking stuff.

Johnny wakes up in the hospital bandaged from head to foot.

The doctor comes in and says, "Ah, I see you've regained consciousness. Now you probably won't remember, but you were in a huge pile-up on the motorway. You're going to be okay, you'll be able to walk again and sustain a reasonably normal life, however your p-nis was severed in the accident and they couldn't find it."

Johnny groans, but the doctor goes on,
"You have £9000 in insurance compensation coming for the severed member and we now have the technology to build you a new p-nis. They work great but they don't come cheap. They're roughly £1000 an inch."

    The man perks up.

"So," the doctor says, "You must decide how many inches you want. But I understand that you have been married for over thirty years and this is something you should probably discuss with your wife. If you had a five incher before and get a nine incher now she might be a bit put out. If you had a nine incher before and you decide to only invest in a five incher now, she might be disappointed. It's important that she plays a role in helping you make a decision."

Johnny agrees to talk it over with his wife.

The doctor comes back the next day, "So, have you spoken with your wife about your p-nis?"

    "Yes I have," says Johnny.

"And has she helped you make a decision?" asks the doctor.

    “Yes" says Johnny.

"What is your decision?" asks the doctor.

    "We're getting granite worktops."

Just reading that he was found by the mountain rescue team in the Masca region this morning. No suggestion of foul play, current indications are that he got lost, likely had a fall in a steep area and was unable to make it back to safety and died as a result

The bodies in the Bristol suitcase murders have been identified as Paul Longworth, 71 and Albert Alfonso, 62. They are understood to have been a couple who recently let the killer stay with them as a lodger. Police are working to identify if it was a homophobic attack or if there were other motives
