I am doing the Dementia Uk 100k walk challenge. This is to help support people like my mum who has both Vascular Dementia and Alzheimer’s. It is tough watching the person who has been there my whole live fade away and forget her sister in law and mistake me for my dad who died 12 years ago.

The challenge was to walk 100k in the month of June. Well that was too easy, as of today I am on 191k and I aim to hit 300k by the end of June.

So far I have raised £200 via the Just Giving page and £323 from cash donations, a total of £523.

There may well be others on here doing the same challenge and please support them

If you don’t know anybody else doing the challenge and you would like to support this good cause, use the link below, then share it on whichever social media you are on.

Thank you in advance for anybody who supports this. It would be fantastic to get to £1000.

Just sent a tenner mate ...

... well done and good luck.

It would've been more usually but I seem to be donating every other day.

    I'm giving someone a kidney tomorrow <laugh>

I’ve just tried to give $20AUD via the credit card, but as we’re overseas at the moment our credit card company probably thinks it’s fraudulent. I promise you we will donate but can’t say exactly when. Stand by!!

The need for support was brought home to me last week when my mum , went walk about and didn’t know where she was or what she had gone for. I knew she had caught the bus to the Galleries, so went to find her and the security team had found her lost and confused and I was able to pick her up from the management suite, before they had to call the police.

I know exactly what you are going through. I've been there and know how tough it is.

You've done a great job for raising awareness and funds for such a worthwhile cause.

A big well done to you and my donation has been made.

Mate, I genuinely tried but even back here in Oz I couldn’t seem to get the payment through. I made a $20 donation to an Australian Alzheimers charity though.
