Both City and Luton want a loan, but Forest want a sale because of their financial situation, but there could be another option: "The natural lower cost nature of a loan transfer would be more convenient for Championship clubs including Norwich and Luton, but, theoretically speaking, perhaps an obligation to purchase could also be included." https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/n...-battling-for-nottingham-forest-lewis-obrien/ Wages might be another issue.
City could be set for a cash windfall as Tzolis is set for a move to Brugge from Fortuna, and City are due 10% of any transfer fee. Tzolis is closing in on a E 6.5m move to Brugge which woukd entitle City to £552k
What a trading disaster that has been for us. How could Webber get it so wrong? Has cost us millions.
Re. how much the deal will have cost us, see my earlier post #153, dated May 31st: " ............the much quoted figure of €11m included add-ons, which almost certainly were never activated. The actual transfer fee paid was said at the time to be in the region of £8.5m. Furthermore, Fortuna are believed to have paid a loan fee of £2m, and had they been promoted to the Bundesliga, they were contracted to sign Tzolis for a further £5m. Factor in some savings on his wages for his two loan spells, and to me it looks as if the deal negotiated last summer was calculated for Norwich to break more or less even in the event Fortuna were promoted. Since they failed to beat Bochum in the play-offs, the end result is a transfer fee loss of £2m or thereabouts." If we now receive a further £552k, the end result will have been a loss of about £1.5m. And as I said back in May, "Not great, but not monstrously bad either".
Alan Browne, Preston Captain, is leaving in a free and would be a decent replacement for McLean if he were to go. Callum O’Hare is also leaving Coventry on a free and could play in the 10 for us
Yes, and even more importantly we could have spent that £8.5m on a player who could have made a difference that season.
At 29, Browne might be too old for Knapper but O'Hare at 26 could be a decent replacement if Sara leaves.
Aboh has signed a new contract until 2027 and a one year option. https://www.canaries.co.uk/content/read-aboh-signs-new-contract
It looks like a deal has been struck for Idah to join Celtic. According to the Record he is on his way there for a medical and to sign. No mention of any details of the transfer.
"Norwich told BBC Scotland that they are not actively trying to sell Idah and say new manager Johannes Hoff Thorup is excited to start working with him. The English Championship club also believe his experience at Celtic could help push him up the pecking order for the season ahead. Under contract at Carrow Road until 2028, Idah is expected back for pre-season training early next week, following international duty."

Plenty of rumours over the internet about Sara to Roma from the Roma press, here is an example: https://romapress.net/from-brazil-gabriel-sara-eager-to-join-roma-from-norwich-city/
https://www.canaries.co.uk/content/canaries-complete-signing-of-mahovo New signing! Backup LB? Would be a Kellen Fisher-like elevation if he's trusted with that role already, given his experience to date. I guess more likely he's in the youth sides or loaned out?
The latter, I think. He's about a year behind LB Guilherme Montóia who is 20 and has been on the bench for the first team: "A product of the Benfica academy, Montóia progressed into their Under-23s, featuring in the Liga Revelação, as well as the UEFA Youth League. Internationally, Montóia has made six appearances for Portugal at Under-20s level, featuring at various age groups."
