Saw this yesterday, tbf I’ve not seen anything official to say we were considering him, who knows, seeing we were supposed to be close to signing a couple it all seems to have gone quiet.
Is there any chance at all of us getting all the extra eggs we need for next season's basket? We seem to talk a lot of talk but rarely meet the necessities that we have to meet to be a contender as I'm getting a little more than tired of hearing what we might want to do in the January window after failing to get what was needed during the summer. I know most of you aren't watching Canada in the Concacaf tournament currently on in the U.S. where we just beat Venezuela on penalties to earn a semi-final spot against Argentina but a certain player has caught my eye. His name is Jason Shaffleburg and he plays for Nashville in the MLS and he impressed me with his overall attitude and determination and is one of those off the radar players that I wonder if we ever even look at or consider. These diamonds in the rough are tough to find but I think this guy could be right up there and I have fond memories of another Canuck who went down well at Ashton Gate - Jim Brennan. Just me blurting again.
City are close to adding Machida Zelvia winger Yu Hirakawa, however the 23-year-old won’t play much of a part in pre-season after being selected for Japan’s Olympic squad, with the tournament in Paris running into early August. (Bristol Post)

I wish him all the luck for his trial period with us and let's hope he can prove himself worthy of an extended stay.
Hmmmm - not really mate. I could probably compile a few minutes of clips of myself playing that would make me look like Messi or C Ronaldo - if I only included the 1% of times when my showboating efforts actually WORKED as intended, instead of being comical disasters!!! Remember this guy? He looked fantastic on these clips. In reality he was bang average (some might say he wasn’t even as good as average):
The proof of the pudding is in the eating, looking forward to seeing him play, as I do with all new signings. I like were trying different markets, but on the whole our forays abroad haven’t been overly successful, obviously there’s the exceptions, let’s hope he’s one of them
clipswere interesting and note the Carle comparison WELL if you do more than just watch and get amazed you note that the team around him gives him at least a third of his ability he / they being in right place right time!
