That's exactly what it is ... ... why should the inhabitants of Clacton have any say in the lives of normal people?
Sorry but any fkr who didnt vote the Monster Raving Loony party should be ashamed of themselves. Anyone who has a manifesto that included selling socks in packs of 3 so should one get lost in the wash you still have a pair and that all adults at the age of 18 to have their thumbs painted green in the event they wanted to hitch hike is an automatic winner in my humble opinion.
Step one. I see the Rwanda scheme has been ditched straight away, but also 218 have been released on bail ( no idea what that actually means ) How do they tear all the contracts up that have already been signed by the previous government?
We've given Rwanda millions and all they've had to do, in return, was entertain Braverman for a day. They'll be left with all the accommodation we paid for which they were already using for local people. Since this farce began we've actually taken in more people from Rwanda than we sent there. I doubt they'll kick up a fuss
The tories detained 220 folk who were going to Rawanda, pending the flight taking off. The tories then bailed 218 during the election campaign. Cooper is going to bail the other 2. I have no idea what now happens to those who were to be deported. Will see what Labour come up with I guess.
I can’t see it being simple cancelling contracts that are worth millions of pounds being very easy or straight forward.
The Rwandan president said, earlier this year, than he'd actually return money if no one was sent. The whole Boris Johnson scheme was insane and could only deal with a fraction of migrants anyway ... ... not only that, anyone sent to the accomodation in Rwanda could simply leave. It's not a prison and they could just get the bus to the airport, big deal. £300million it's cost so far

The latest news on the feed is https://www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2024/07/08/politics-election-keir-starmer-tories-latest-news/ A Treasury minister today failed to rule out resurrecting the HS2 railway line north of Birmingham. Darren Jones, the Chief Secretary to the Treasury, was told during an interview on Sky News that Andy Burnham, the Mayor of Greater Manchester, “wants HS2 reinstated”.
Reeves speaking, who I have a lot of time relative to most PMs. Some interesting choice or words so far, mmm. I wonder if we are being readied for the first change to manifesto commitments...
FellTop, was this a rhetorical question mate, "What on earth are you going to do with yourself after tonight mate " You're going to drive yourself insane if you keep analysing each nuance like this on a daily basis
There was a nationwide referendum to decide on which party should govern ... ... that's democracy and we all have to accept the will of the people even if the difference was only a few percent. No one likes a moaner
