Aw poor Spanish throwing his toys out of the pram yet again. I’ll forgive you coz it’s obviously the Rioja talking
no toys being thrown here, just pity for you, being a deluded Tory boy must be difficult to live with
This is my last comment on politics, and then let's all get back to football and support the club we all love. It is refreshing to note that the UK Government has managed a full 24 hours without a single one making a racist comment, caught openly lying, being busted for a sexual offence or a financial fraud, or channeling cash to their family. Some achievement, what a welcome change!
Well I'm glad I know **** all about English politics right now, don't have an opinion and didn't get dragged into this debate. The only thing I've got to worry about right now is that ****in' wannabe dictator Trump winning the election here!
And if he does win, I may have to learn about English politics again 'cos I'm not sure I'll be able to stay here for four years!
A handful of Labour MPs will have their hand in the till over the course of the parliament, no doubt about that. There is one thing we can applaud Sunak for, which was a return to respect for our institutions and convention, which Johnson had run roughshod over during his term. I reckon Sunak would have been as appalled as we all are about the gambling and that’s likely to have been going on for years. I am not thrilled at some of the things I’m hearing. The Blairite privatisation of the NHS by stealth sounds as though it will resume. However, the end to the ridiculous strikes, reversing pumping of sewage into our waterways and clean energy policy are all welcome.
Not sure if this will result in the end of strikes. Unions are not big fans of starmer as he is not as far left as the previous leader.
Nobody on the left likes Starmer, but there are plenty of other well respected people like David Lammy, Angela Rayner and Hilary Benn in the cabinet and they’re all on the same team. It will be led by Haigh, whose family were trade unionists and who used to be involved with Unite and worked for Aviva and Streeting, who is well known to be in favour of better pay for healthcare workers anyway. The money will go a lot further if it’s managed better, by spending less on consultants and temp staff and more on training and employee pay. It’s an absolute farce how it’s been managed by the Tories and as Spanish says, grown ups are in charge again. We will see some things improving almost overnight. It comes down to respect and treating people as human beings around the negotiation table, something that Tories don’t have in their nature. Even if the unions don’t get everything they want now, as long as they buy into the medium and longer term vision then they will stop striking.
I find it amazing that anyone can trust any politician of any party, they are all in it for themselves and will change their moral compass to suit whatever crowd they have in front of them.
How can you take people like Angela Rayner seriously ffs! She’s got more kids than qualifications and she’s as thick as mince! She can barely string a sentence together. The Vicky Pollard of Westminster and a total embarrassment. God help us if she gets to takeover when Captain Flip Flop does one.
You know he's a left footer? Liam Delap was spotted at Portman Road last week too. Let's hope for a triple announcement. Assuming we get all three and sign a strong goalkeeper then that's some great business and anything more would be a bonus.
