Well fortunately Ten Hag wasn't one of those redundancies. They've triggered a year's extension in his contract.
Reading between the lines, I get the feeling they sent out feelers to somebody when they were very publicly sacking ten Hag in slow motion - only to be told to sod off, so they stuck with him
Leicester's FFP appeal has failed. Good. Hope they get the book thrown at them and start the season on -15 points. City better be next.
They seemed to think that yo-yoing between divisions meant that they were untouchable. Let's hope they yo-yo one more time.
West Ham's signing of Wolves' Max Kilman has triggered Maidenhead Utd's sell-on clause. The 5th tier club will receive 10% of the reported £40m fee. Former West Ham midfielder Alan Devonshire is their long-term manager. He'll be ecstatic.
Hope their owners don't leg it with the money, like Stevenage's did after the FA Cup match against Newcastle way back when
He has a release clause so a club can still trigger it but I’ve said for a while I have my doubts on us making a move. Feels like we would’ve done so already if he were genuinely our main target as some reports initially implied.
Controversial opinion but I'm not sure Eze is who we need. Absolutely wouldn't say no to signing him as he is proven quality, but the timing of it doesn't quite fit. Son will be first choice at LW next season, possibly the season after that too. Eze will be 27-28 yo by then, and even if he'd be ok being second choice for a year or two (highly doubtful), that sort of age isn't really what you'd call a long term successor. It's why I preferred Olise from day one. Younger and plays in a position that we don't really have convincing options for. But that's off the table now.
